I"m looking for 2 strut Nut. The nut that holds the strut mount/hats onto the strut. This is NOT an oem nut. It was suppose to be for KYB AGX struts but I'm missing two. I believe the nuts are 14mm by 1.5(thread). Please lmk if anybody got something laying around. I've tried Menards, Axeman, and a couple hardware stores but NOPE, nothing. Not even similar ones.

    Anyother hardware stores?

    LMK please

Johnson Hardware in Bloomington, Portland & American Blvd is where I head when I need something I can't find elsewhere. Never failed yet.

Did you try Subaru? Stock ones should work, just might be a different sized socket.

Might, might not. The KYB struts I've installed on various cars have sometimes had different size/thread pitch than the stock units.

I have some for a set of d-specs you can have.

However, i recommend just going to the parts store and picking up a set of lugnuts. The ones with acorns are two pieces - the little dome part just hammers right out. They cost like 5 bucks for four.

I used lugnuts on my d-specs (cut for a specific purpose, though).

    contact KYB

I contacted KYB and they sent me a whole set of top nuts no questions asked. I just gave them the model/part # off the strut and I had them in my hands 2-3 days later.

I tried looking everywhere for those specific nuts before going to KYB and had no luck anywhere. Even specialty stores didn't have stock and I would have had to order 20 or so of them to get the 4 I needed.

KYB should be able to help you out.

I've had 2 sets of AGX and the nut on top of the strut are bigger in diameter than the oem nut.

are you talking about the main nut that holds the hats onto the shaft or the 3 nuts that hold the strut hat to the chassis??

$5 for 4 nuts? or just go to your local hardware store and buy a pair of nuts for ~$0.15 each.

The only place i found them local to me was fastenal (who may not break boxes), but i needed something closer to a coupling nut which is impossible to find in m14x1.5. Just threw it out there in case he couldn't find them anywhere else.
