I'll be taking off my Federal RSR's soon, but they are 265/35-18 and they are pretty much donezo...like 2 to 3/32nd's left. Just noticed that one tire starting show cords on the inside edge in one small spot, but as long as you're not running a ton of negative camber, you should be fine. You can have them for free but I wouldn't recommend using them unless you're in a pinch and just need to move the car around. I'll probably be ordering new tires in a week or so, and they would be off then.
Ohh I appreciate the offer - hit me up when you are about to get them off and I will see if I have not gotten any yet - BTW - how did yo ulike them? Did you do the RSR Race or regular?
Well tires are coming off next week on Tuesday. So let me know, otherwise they will get recycled. How did I like them? AMAZING and almost half the price of comparable tires. The have very stiff side walls for great turn in, high peak grip, and they handle heat very well. I ran them for 15-20 minute sessions at BIR and they didn't get too greasy. I've been using them for autox recently, and they get to operating temp quick. And apparently, they are still pretty darn good at the end of their life too...I put down some of my fastest times in comparison to others this last Sunday. The only problem can be finding them in stock and in the right size for your application... the 265/35-18's have been back ordered for weeks, but other sizes have been available. I just checked onlinetires.com and they do make a 285/30-18. Only $133 per tire...pretty tough to beat. You may want to call them and see if they are in stock though. As far as "RSR Racing" vs "RS Racing"...I didn't know there was two types until I just now saw that on online tires. However no tires are listed under "RS Racing". I guess I've always had the "RSR Racing" tire...which is the most popular one to my knowledge. They don't have a "RS Racing" on Federal's website either. PS - do you happen to have a navy blue 2.5RS? I saw one at the last PDX at DCTC with some massive wheels/tires. I couldn't participate that day, but I stopped by to watch for a bit.
The RSR Racing is a misprint. They make an RS tire and a RSR tire. You want the RSR set. (the RSR stands for RS Racing) If memory servers, the very first set I bought was stamped with "for racing only" . This has since been removed. I'm on I think, my 4th set of these. These are awesome tires! If you can find them, buy, buy , buy!
I do have a navy blue rs but its in my garage on stands getting built - wasn't me I wish - Thanks for the info guys!
