I guess I'll stop trolling @TMF for his vf48 and make a thread.
I'm looking to buy either a stock sti turbo or some sort of 16g or 18g. Basically I just want to ditch the toy td04.
I don't know a whole lot about the aftermarket stuff so let me know what you've got and I'll look into it.
For an sti turbo my preferences are vf34, 39, 43, 48, or 52.
Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Pm me if you want to or whatever It doesn't matter to me.
Ps.. I DONT WANT EBAY TIROz

What's your budget Failz? Also, how many miles in your TD04?

Hahahaa wanna at least fix the TIROz spelling error? Just throw a b after the r.
I wish, unfortunately I don't want to go that bug yet, I'd like to keep my motor intact for more than 18seconds after installing the turbo lol.
About 77-78k miles. im going to pull the downpipe today and check for shaft play/ any oil. She's been smoking lately and I should probably get that sorted out too.
Budget is whatever the price of the turbo should be but I'd expect to pay 600 for a really good condition vf52

So....you're trolling yourself? lol have some self-respect!

Anyway, I haven't officially decided if I'll be selling my VF48 when it comes off or not. I want to drive the new setup first. But if I do get rid of it, it's all yours man.

But yea, on your current setup, a VF48 or 18G would be nice, and shouldn't blow up your motor...at least not right away :p

I've been thinking of swapping the VF48 in my car out with a TD04. I had the TD04 to begin with on my hybrid build and think that it fit my wants/needs moar.

About 51k on it, haven't had it off for a few to test the shaft play. But it was good when we put it on with about 7,500 miles on it. It also has the Thermal D coating on it performed by GrimmSpeed.

    And Merry Christmas buddy! Lolz

FYI - VF52 has the 08+ WRX flange. You probably want a VF39 of VF48.

I know what I'd be getting into thanks though. I plan to do a few overkill things this time around, mostly depends on what all I can get my grubby hands on.

    And for sheen

Was going to ask $500 obo for it when it came out and was put up FS. With a good TD04 swap +cash i was thinking $400.

I don't need to get rid of it. But i figured that if i could cover the cost of the TD04+ have enough to see Ronnie at RS to retune it, that i'd consider it! Just don't want to sell my current setup to basically "downgrade" in turbo size and have to pay out of pocket for it...lol nahmean?

If you need a decent condition TD04, I've got one. It was used as labor trade payment, and it's probably worth $150 since it didn't burn oil. I haven't taken it apart if you were wondering.
