Or buy the VF22 that is for sale here. Because let's face it, when you go from the stock turbo, you're going to wait until 4k anyway.

yeah, depending upon the gear I'm in I can get 18-20+ psi less than 4K...anywhere between 3-3500, but that's a small 16g

I diss Subaru for not saying in advance that the 2.5 was coming, because I would have held out for the 25% displacement increase. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers...

Get it tuned anyways since those maps suck.

If you're not going to do it right, don't even waste your time.

listen to these guys! Stock AP map might be okay or even boarder line good for stage 1 or 2, but when you add a turbo and maybe even injectors...then a custom tune is the way to go. trust them....they are not giving you false information!!!!

Yeah, the base Cobb stg2 map is ok but the vf34 map they make is an absolute joke.

he's still new to the sube world, he got exhaust on and now he's got the bug for more. :) i had experience with the ap and stg2 map on a slightly stg2+ setup and was very happy with it and based this i gave him the "hey nate take this route" plan. he was just going to use the base map as a starting point and when he got the $ to go for a tune with supporting parts then we would tune it.

sounds like a good plan. get all the supporting power mods in place and working good before taking it for a tune. then take it to rs, they should be able to help him out in a big way
