I'm from nd but will be in msp this weekend, I need a replacement turbo for my 2009 outback xt asap that I can take home with me to install. Post up what ya got!
another VF40 is just going to commit suicide again after a while especially if you buy used. I am pretty sure the consensus is that the VF40's shaft is to thin or poor material and is prone to failure no matter what you do. You might want to look at an aftermarket replacement that is more reliable.
Stay with the IHI turbo DO NOT get one of the cheaper ones. I did the cheaper way and after 2 years and 20,000 miles it is not siezed up. So now I'm spending the 1200 for an actual IHI turbo after dropping 800 2 years ago.
