WTB: VF40 turbo (LGT)

    My brother's 05 LGT wagon ate it's turbo. Anyone have a take-off from their LGT or 08+ WRX they want to part with?

    I'm not sure what all fits, so if anyone can give some pointers on that, it would be helpful. It's an auto, though I'm guessing that doesn't matter, but again, I don't know much about the LGT personally.

    If you buy it for him. I can sell a new turbo for $975... Subaru has them on hold right now though. Its a limited, but we can still get one. We'd even cover the freight cover for getting it.

    Well thanks for checking. There is a take-off FS on LGT.com but I just want to check locally as well.

    Make sure you take those screens in the banjo bolts off, thats why they eat turbos, is he good on changing his oil? the ones that eat turbos usually arent...

    Yup, I've read about the screens.

    Nope, he really wasn't. In his defense it's "his wife's" car, :ugh: If that's any defense at all :biggrin:

    Get rid of the catted uppipe as well. The brick can come apart and eat the turbo.

    Cool, thanks.

    I'd rather not have to re-tune it, and I believe a TD04 may be a downgrade from the VF40. We are shopping a VF40 on LGT.com currently, but I will let you know if I end up in "need it now" sort of situation.
