Hello MN Subaru, I would like to borrow a 5x114.3 wheel for a day or two if possible, preferably with tire. I want to check fitment on my stealth as a track/street car. Math says it should be close, but I want to see it to believe it. Rumor has it they are 17x8", but I've also seen 17x8.5", I think that may be the overseas variety. Willing to drive to you and deliver back wheel. May be willing to barter for some tuning work as well if you want to sell a set. Not sure if I like the Gold or Silver, car is white so maybe either will be painted black? Also, anyone run a 245 series width on them? Mathematically a 245 is the limit on a 8" wide wheel, but still. Thanks! -Josh
STi Wheels come in number of different sizes. Both 17s and 18s and range from 7.5 inchs to 8.5 inches wide. 04 STi BBS are 17x7.5(5x100) 05-07 STi BBS are 17x8(5x114.3) 08+ Wheels are 18s and I am unsure of the width. On the 17x8 wheel you are more then capable of running a 245.
Thanks KA-T 240! That is what I found and I am interested in the 05-07 STI setup. Looks like most guys are running a 245-255 width tire. Now to find one locally to toss on for viewing/fitment pleasure before buying a set.
245 is about the most you would really want to run on a 8inch wheel in my opinion. Unless you are putting big tires on for a specific reason(like stock class SCCA Auto-x, Drag Radials, ect).
