WTB Winter Wheels - 09 WRX, 17's

    Looking for winter wheels. Because of the size of the breaks on the 09' I am looking for something in a 17in.

    What I am looking for.
    17"x7
    225/45R

    I am not looking to spend more than $175 because I can get a cheap set of new rims for that much.


    EDIT:     I guess I can also fit 16's on my car so those will work as well.

    so 16x7 will work if you have them for sale....

    The brakes on the 08+ wrx's are the same as the 02-05's, and you can run 16's if you don't already 17 inch tires.

    really the breaks just don't look like they would clear anything smaller. you are sure i could run a 16?

    I thought that the 08-09 WRX has the Legacy brakes. They should be bigger than 02-05 WRX brakes, but not by much.

    Nope, they are not the Legacy brakes, and I run 16's in the winter.

    The stock 16 inch wheels from my 02 fit just fine over the brakes on my 09.
