WTB: Wire mesh or Perforated metal

Are there any stores/metal shops locally or anyone that has wire mesh for making grills or perforated metal steel or aluminum maybe around 20 gauge?

The stuff that home depot sells is too small for my FMIC opening. I need roughly 12" wide and 48" long to do the job.

I am looking to buy some tonight or tomorrow morning

I Have 20ga 0.125" (I think thats the hole size) perforated in both mild steel and stainless, approx 80% open. Catch is I don't plan on going back in til Monday. On the plus side I could give it to you for nothing.

I am thinking that 80% open might have too much free space for what I want.

 

I'll try to take some pics on monday of what we use. there's 2 sizes of diamond patterned wire mesh and 2 more in perforated mesh + 1 in ss.

the one on the bottom left is exactly what I am looking for. I need some pieces big enough to fill the hood scoop, stock grill and FMIC opening (the intercooler opening is 12" by 36")

If you can get me some big pieces I will def. throw you some money!!

That one comes in Stainless and mild. I'll see how much stainless I got.

 

Yeah id buy the same ammount as Adam need to cover up the FMIC:biggrin:

 

If you guys need another source, go to a Micheals craft shop. They have aluminum in sheets that's got either 1/8" or 1/4" holes, so I guess you'd say it's aluminum mesh.

 

Well, I have 3 strips of 20 gauge stainless perf sized 47.5"x12". Who wants some?

 

i think i have dibbs....idealy i need 2 of the 3 sheets i believe....what do you think?? any charge?
