FIXED1990 talon AWD TSi - $1800 (chippewa falls) Date: 2009-07-31, 10:08AM CDT Reply to: [email protected] [Errors when replying to ads?] i have a 90 talon with a 144000 miles brand new clutch in april new paint job last year... looks really nice with metal flaking...new last year an APEXI exhaust all the way back 3inch downpipe to 2.5 exhaust for better and faster spool up... newer turbo (16G) just had aligned and oil changed along with plugs and wires 1000 miles ago... tinted windows short shifter leather interior aftermarket boost guage and fuel air guage on a pillar...just put a BRAND new aluminum radiator in along with a balance shaft eliminator kit in last month (june) got a newer set of tires to go with car along with many other misc. parts.... and just put a BRAND NEW timing belt now the bad... the tranny shifts good but you cant down shift into second gear unless ur around 15mph the syncro is shot but a new syncro kit for hole tranny is less then 40bucks still drives good... there is no power steering for more control at high speeds and for more power also the AC is gone. the radio is gone but do have install kit for aftermarket stereo...the exhaust doesnt have any gaskets so it sounds kinda wierd but the gaskets are like 20 bucks just havent had the spare $$ and hense why im selling it i need the money...the car does smoke but its nothing major the seals on the upper part of the valves are shot but it dont smoke at idle more then any other talon and dont smoke unless u really got on it and let off cuz at higher R's the seals work better i was told idk all i no is there shot but its not hard to replace i just aint got $$ or time to do it but dont worry the car still moves real good i just called it my smoke screen to get away from cops haha but it aint nothing major just had the lower end of the motor pulled apart to do eliminator kit and everything was good... now the price is pretty firm cuz i got alot of money into the car and i have a lean on the title but with the sale money i am paying off the loan so the lean can be released the day of sale just gotta go to bank with $$ please no trades give me a call to come see and drive serious buyers only!! pics will be up later today camera is charging I am in the process of fixing the smoke problem and the exhaust so the price will go up at the end of the week to 2200 plus the tranny should be fixed in the next two weeks but again price will go up the car is in GREAT shape for being 19yrs old 715 214 6934 call or text
1. Synchro issues on those are way too common --needs new transmission or complete rebuild. 2. Power steering going away at speed = completely normal. That's the way they came from the factory. I loved it in mine. 3. lol, crankwalk.
