I have to pick up a gift for my little sister. I am a PS3 guy, I own a 360 but don't really use it. Anyways, I want to get her a headset so she can join in the online BS. I saw the Microsoft Bluetooth Headset for around $50. Anyone have this one or recommendations on one? I don't want to / need to spend more than $100. She plays a lot of COD... but doesn't have a proper way to talk smack.

You really want her to be able to talk to people playing video games? Those usually aren't the most intelligent or mature conversations. LOL.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I have nice headphones for playing Xbox, but I use the cheapo Microsoft headset if I do need a mic. It doesn't work very well. I would not recommend it.

Crap. Yeah.... I don't know what is a better option for her. I don't want to drop over $100 on a wireless setup. She might stop playing in April or never... so i feel if she really wants to get into it she can fund it herself.

Bluetooth headset are never up to Turttle Beach Headsets quality when your looking in the under $100 range. I just didn't see many other choices ..... to bad it's a crappy headset.

I just picked up a Turtle Beach headset for my Xbox. I got the DX12 and am very happy. the surround actually is pretty good, I get a real sense of which direction people are coming from. The mic is also very good, I am told the sound is good.

The turtle beach sets are not built very well. Sound quality is pretty good but you have to treat them like glass antiques.

for mic communications i just use the xbox wireless headset. cheap sounds fine and what not. I have full surround sound so no need for the high end headset.

Just get a used regular old crappy wired headset for $10 at gamestop. If it turns out she likes it, get a better one. No sense in dropping a bunch of cash on something that might get binned in a couple months.

Yeah, I know she wants one. I have a few concerns and that's why I am keeping it on a budget. She has been known to not take care of her stuff... so i think the wired TB setup would last her a month or two. I know the lower end ones are pretty famous for snapping apart. I might just go with the BT Xbox 360 headset for $50. It isn't great... but it might be the best fit. I am going to do some more research on what Ben posted. Either way... I am shopping in 4 hours.
