XBOX 360 VS. PS3!

ok ladies and gentlemen, the new generation of consoles are starting to be released. who is going to get which one and why?

i am starting this cause i have not been keeping up with what each system has to offer (beside major things like Blue Ray, and Wireless controllers)

when is the PS3 going to be released? XBox 360 come sout on tuesday.

 

i work at best buy and were getting ready for the rush of the xbox, its gonna be nuts, but i think the ps3 is gonna be better

 

Do you work at the Richfeild one? Any clue how many Premium systems you're getting. I'm debating if I should wait in line at midnight or not.

 

i work at minnetonka but we havent actually recieved them yet, if you really want one i would wait inline, once were out, were out until after christmas, i think thats what they said

i am torn becuase the xbox has some decent games like perfect dark, and hopefully halo 3, but at the same time PS3 has gran turismo and the final fantasy series.

i am not up on the hardware aspect of it, but i know the PS3 is using blue ray, and has alot more graphic processing power.

 

xbox360 removable, transferable hd makes all the difference, bring your saved games anywhere there is a system.

Oh and richfield bb is getting 90 of the 399.00 ones in the first shipment, obviously there will be alot more in before christmas, eb games in epmall said they will be getting 600 by christmas

i am prolly going to get the PS3 but i dont know if i should get the 360 too.

 

did some reading on the release games. there is an STi in the new need for speed 360 game. i wonder how it will keep up with the other super cars in teh game (M3 GTR, Mercdes McLaren, Lotus Elise, Vauxhall Monaro, Ect...) it also looks like Master Chief will be making an appearance in DOA4.

i also fond this out. planned for a mid 2007 release is the Halo movie. its being produced by Fox and Universal. get this the director is none other then Peter Jackson! with his guidance it will be hard for the game to flop (still possible but less likely). supposedly (RUMORS!!!!) the movie will focus ont he ending of the Halo: Fall of Reach book and continue throught he first Halo game.

PS3 has Resident Evil 5, Sonic the Hedgehog, Metal Gear 4, and of course GT Visions.

 

I think you've mixed up NFS with PGR3. PGR3 doesnt have a car that does under 170mph stock.

 

I would go with xbox 360, im not a huge gamer so i wont be purchasing either of these, but i enjoy halo a ton and would be worth halo 3 when it comes out next year. As far as i have heard, the PS3 wont be released until next year. the same time halo 3 comes out...

What they need to have is a keyboard mouse set up for the console games. You cant perform half of the maneuvers on the stinking joystick. I think Gamecast had a keyboard, I thought someone told me that xbox did too but I've never seen one.

the PC will always be the ultimate gaming machine, just because ther contorl interfaces are so interchangeable and custimizeable. also the PC will always have better performance due to upradeable parts.

but you cant play Gran Turismo on PC

 

depends on nothing, consoles have never caused even the tiniest amount of interest or urge to purchase for me. ever.

also i think the old xbox controller was hands down the clunkiest and most uncomfortable input device in the history of this or any other universe.

 

Consoles are good for casual gaming. Keyboard and mouse is hands down the best for FPS but I'd rather use pads for most other games.

Yeah, I was referring to the FPS for the keyboard/mouse use.
You cant beat the logitech force feedback wheel setup with the LCD projector for GTx.

Speaking of wheels for racing games, I hope the xbox 360 will work with the logitech FF wheels. That xbox racing wheel was garbage.

they have a new wheel out for the PC (i will try to find out the name / webs site) but the thing is AWSOME. wieghs like 40 pounds. has a working clutch and a whole bunch of other feautres. i suppose it had better rule for the $1500 they want for it.

 

we have 65 xbox's in stock at best buy minnetonka, its first come first serve. i was also told that we have more then any other store in the area.

there is no real reason, regular x box is better then ps2, but that doesnt stop people from loving ps2 more then x box...i know i'll buy a ps3 eventually, not because its better, but because playstations in general 0WN x box

I cant believe Xbox 360's are going for over 1500.00 bucks on ebay right now. Im so pre-ordering about 3-4 PS3's before they come out so I can make a grip of cash on ebay.

 

PS3 release til late spring 2006, BTW The 360 games is about over 50 bucks. I dunno!!!

Thats not a bad Idea, my friend sold his for $650 in the Best Buy parking lot last night. People with money will pay anything to get one for their spoiled kid for christmas.

 

Ya I have a feeling the PS3's wont be as hot as the 360's are just because x mas is right around the corner but im still gonna do it and try to make some cash to buy my turbo kit :twisted:

 

PS3 -> Wins the harware war, hands down! The only reason to buy a 360 is if one likes the games better.... and some do. I happen to prefer the PS games so that makes for a no-brainer decision.

The only way the 360 had a chance was to be out before Xmas. Sales will plummet dramatically next spring....

I thought the original Xbox was a lame system, but now that the new one is out my opinion has done a 360.
