Yellow powdercoated 04 STI BBS 5x100 for sale

    I have a set of 04 STI bbs's (5X100) that I powdercoated yellow and have run for a couple of years that I am thinking about selling. The rims were in various states of condition when I purchased them, the worst rim had a dent on the inside of the hoop and some have curb marks that are still visible, but they are all still straight to my knowlege. The powdercoat is chipped from winter use but they still look good from 5 feet away. They have a new set of Blizak LM-25's mounted with probably about 2-3k miles on them. I am thinking 900, picked up in the Eden Prairie hood.

    Here are the pictures that I have so far, running low on time tonight, I'll get better tread depth pictures later, the last picuture shows the dent , also the tire are LM-60's not LM-25's

    No but if they weren't yellow I'd be considering a purchase.

    Call me what you will but I have a hard time dropping $900 on rims that need to be painted, lol.

    I forgot to post pictures of the center caps and the lugs that come with the wheels. I added a little foot as well, everyone knows that feet sell on MNSubaru

    Just measure the tires now that I found a battery for my caliper and got .302, the stock measurement is supposed to be .343, so a little more than a 32nd of wear

    It looks to be that the Blizzak's sell for about $800 on TireRack brand new. And with how close these are to new...that's like a $200 set of BBS rims right there.

    Great price on the combo, GLWS!

    Also...FWIW. I had a set of black rims with an orange "time attack" lip FS on here and nobody responded, painted the lip black to match the wheels($5), and they sold in minutes. lol. Might want to hit them with a couple of coats of black spraypaint for a quicker sale(sad but true). I think they look great in yellow btw!

    Thanks for the shout Blu, I think the price is fair, these were pretty decent tires. I personally would not drive a car in the upper midwest without snows, but thats just me. My WRX is going to storage this winter, with the number of miles that it has and body issues I think another winter would leave me with a lot more work to keep the car in good shape. I thought these looked good with blue paint.

    Hmmm...look even better than i imagined! I had a set done in hazard cone orange. I loved them, but mainly just me tho. Hahaha

    The 5x100 BBS's usually sell for $800-1000 alone too because they are a little more difficult to obtain. Great deal for sure. Maybe you should update your original post to reflect the 5x100 fact also...some newbs may pass right by them if they think that they're 5x114.;)

    Thats a good point, I guess I thought it was pretty common knowlege that these were a little on the rare side due to the fact that the USDM STI only had a 5x100 pattern for one year. I looked on Nabisco and had a hard time finding a comparable set, although it is quite easy to find singles selling for 200-250 each in similar shpe to these. What would it take to update the title and original post to include the detail that these are 5x100?

    A Moderator. Just know that the 5x100's will work on the new WRX's too. And not all of the GR guys know the history of the GD's like us old timers. lol

    What color were the rims originally? Not too keen on the yellow.
    Come tax time in Spring, if they are still around, I might be interested.

    It was a mixed set, doesn't matter at this point, but if it really helps 3 were silver and one was gold

    As a guy who just sold a set of these for 1000.00 with just the rims, this is a steal of a deal!

    Wish I had the bankroll for another set of these...
