Hi Everybody! I’m Paul, a fellow forum lurker but I finally had a chance to make an intro thread while I'm on paternity leave! My Wife is all for letting me keep my Bugeye 03' WRX since its car seat compatible and the Scoobie rumble with a Sti up-pipe + Cobb DP + Borla turbo back makes my son fall asleep immediately. Mostly stock with some light mods replacing worn out OEM over the years (brakes, engine & tranny mounts, proper aluminum radiator, exhaust, mild tune, wheels + tires, etc.). Its my favorite money pit and I've got no plans to sell it. Hard to believe it qualifies for collector plates in a few years. I live in Stillwater but work in The Cities, give me a shout if you're out this way once we’re all out of quarantine. MadCapper and Lift bridge are favorite spots to grab a beer around here. I don't use facebook, etc much so its cool to have a place like this. -Paul
Welcome Paul! Excited to see the bugeye. My first love was my WRB 02(as far as cars are concerned). Also, no plans to cancel the LaXCruise this summer. So check that out if you can! We can “social distance” all that we need to for the bbq and camping -Josh
Thanks! Managed to get Flickr to work after some trial and error, pics up! Always have had a soft spot for the bug eye look for obvious reasons
Howdy and welcome to the Stillwater club! Hope to see you out and about! Very nice car! In that condition you could could through collector plates on it and only some people would look at you oddly!
Thanks for the welcome, I've probably seen a few of the east sider guys around here! Out of curiosity, any chance we've ever got decals for the group's cars? I wonder if I'd get more/less/or the same amount of side eye if I got collector plates for my 98 Corolla daily.
We do have vinyls. Just give me a shout if you are interested and we can get you hooked up with some!
Welcome! Not to worry, if both you and your wife are of average height you can keep that car for a while
