Hey the name is Jason, like I said searching for a scooby hoping to find a mostly stock or lightly modded 5 speed WRXt, to mod to my liking. i adore seeing them adorning the WRB, but I think I'd settle for an impreza. and i am hoping i will find my *first*(soobie) here. Now I'm off to scouring the f/s threads:) but until then i'm stuck with a Saturn SC2 :ugh: lol.

Hah! Reminds me of impromptu offroading in the Mrs' old SC2. Good times!

You're going to be continually harassed until you post up some pics/details of the new ride. Don't say I didn't warn you... ;)

Sorry i don't have any photos yet, due to a lack of a digital camera, but my co-worker owned the car prior to me, i believe he has a photo or two... So i'll try to get a photo of it up. Anyway about the Scooby, it is an 02 psm wrx 5 speed with an aftermarket dp (forgot the brand), ebay 3" cat back, 1.5" lower tein springs. running a "conservative" Bullwinkle tune. all done before i picked up the car. it had 113k on the body. 4x,xxx on the shortblock. its also got slotted rotors(not really an upgrade imo)

edit: i forgot to mention it has 04/05 rear bumper and taillights.

Congrats on the car. There's a lot to know about your car and a lot to learn about the differences between a Saturn and a WRX. So do lots of reading and for the most part have fun with it!

Thanks everyone and for sure there are drastic differences between the two cars, and any other car/truck for that matter. I plan on learning what and when i can with the new acquisition. I've had the car for about two weeks now and have put on close to 700 miles on the car... and have learned that i am in love with the car  despite the quirks of the car. Some of which are; the rear top hats squeaking? (the noises are very apparent with multiple people in the car), wearing synchronizers (1st/4th) and some body work that I'd like to get fixed. RF quarter that has been replaced, and a poor paint job :unamused:.
One things for sure is i am actually wanting winter to arrive, I've had an old FUD exploder which was a blast to drive in the winter now i am anxious for the next....
Sorry this has kind of become a bit winded...
