Hello friends. Some of you may remember me from like 5years ago when I had the Saabaru and ice raced with you. Or when I had the Saab 900 rallyx car (and probably beat you) Or from 24hrs of Lemons or ChumpCar (when we were either broken or beating you). Or from when I worked on Subie's advertising and had a gtg for you guys. Anyways, I'm now totally away from Saabs, sans our race car, and have a modded Mini Cooper S. Which I'm now bored with. So Subaru is now near/at the top of my list. I'm looking for: 1. Legacy GT WAGON ('05) 2. Outback XT 3. Spec B 4. Forester XT 5. Legacy GT Manuals only. Prefer leather/HIDs when available. Low mileage, under 65k. Not afraid to go drive/fly to pick it up. Figured you guys would have a pretty good pulse so I was hoping you could help with my homework. ALSO, who the f do I punch for "art directing" the color of the site? Seriously!? Typing black on a black screen in the post new thread view is going to make me have an annueriusm.
Hi I'm actor Troy McClure. You might remember me from such educational films as "Lead Paint: Delicious But Deadly," and "Here Comes the Metric System!"
Yeah, unfortunately vbulletin comes with all these crap themes, that look like absolute **** unless you sit there and mess with all the colors yourself. And it's one guy messing with them, on his free time, so it takes a while.
Nice attitude, coming on the forum asking for a favor and then insulting the people who run it (the appearance of site). Since you are willing to fly to get a car, I suggest you go look at LegacyGT.com as there are always cars for sale on there (4 out of 5 on the your list are Legacy based). And good luck on finding a manual wagon for sale.
You know what, that's fair enough. I'm pretty sarcastic and I should have toned it down on the initial post. I was weighing too heavy on you guys remembering me. Sorry if I offended anyone. Cheers.
It took me a few months to find one when I was looking. LegacyGT.com is good source, but generally premium priced as this is where most people who are looking go. Occasionally something decent turns up on Ebay. Autotrader, and cars.com occasionally turned up cars too. I got mine out of NC, using http://www.crazedlist.org/ to do a nationwide Craigslist search. Price was about 20% below other sources even after shipping and local shop inspection costs. I'd be interested in finding out what you did to your Mini. My wife has an '06 JCW
Lighten up Frances. It's listed here: http://www.mnautox.com/forums/showthread.php?14666-FS-2005-Mini-Cooper-S I found the Forester on NASIOC. Texas car, low miles, and no rust anywhere. Flight cost was about $100 and the guy picked me up at the airport. Finished the deal at a Shell station and drove back. I think I payed a premium but if you want a 5speed Forester XT Limited with low miles I think you will. Took me about 4 months to find it and conclude the deal.
