Is anybody on here using a TurboXS Type H-RFL BOV? Ive read they cause your car to stall in slow moving traffic or in reverse. i was just wondering if that was true of if people are happy with this BOV.
Don't use a bov on a Subaru with a mass air flow sensor. Use the search button this has been discussed many times.
If you need to replace your OEM part with an aftermarket part, recirculate it. I vent mine to atmosphere, but I have converted to a blow through MAF which sits in the IC plumbing just before the throttle body.
Also, I might add, the reason people stall is because they don't adjust it. You have to stack the shims inside it till it idles and pops properly. If you just slap it on your car without adjusting it first, it will probably cause issues.
It's not a n00b post if it's truly something that you're worried about. Everyone has to ask questions sometimes I think I speak for all of us when I say I'd rather see you posting what you think is a dumb question, than blowing up your car because you didn't know.

I have a open Vent Greddy RS on my 240 and love it! I have problems with the car stalling/flooding every once and a while. But the tune might have something to do with it. My buddy has a open vent greddy on his wrx and has never had a problem with it.
I've been running a full atmo BOV on my 07 for all but 2 months of its life. Still working fine. No stalling, no flooding, no problems. Of course, mine is adjusted properly.
waiting on my turboxs hybrid, will let you know if that is a better option. or else upgrade to perrin recirc.
adjusting Was curious how do I adjust my turbo xs bov, I put it on one day and took it off the next it made my car run like garbage.
Threadjack. But, there should be instructions online. Usually has to do with tightening a screw, possibly stacking washers/quarters inside the unit to tighten the spring.
Gotchya, Ill have to check them out online, I never got instructions with mine. Subaru 003 I see you have what looks to be a front mount, did you stay with a stock bov? Or upgrade it?
