thats one more reason i bought the seats! they are fat people un-friendly so that cuts out 90% of America asking for a ride. and i don't think im going to get close to maxing these out. wanted to try allot of fuels this year and see what works the best. two 1600cc injectors will be enough for methanol if i want? then all im missing is the high compression.
I'm not sure if you've said it somewhere, or if it's a secret, but what motor are you building for this monster, cause I thought I remembered someone saying your on a borrowed motor atm.
yeah i have bikerboys stock bottom end in the car right now. the new motor is a 2.65 closed deck, sleeved and o ringed bottom end and jdm bigport heads, kelford cams ect...
made 361hp 319tq on pump and 19 psi and 443hp and 383tq on 110 and 23 psi. dident do a aggressive tune at all. was just to run around on tell i get more $$$$ to build the car more
make sure you pressure test your system before you go there! make sure you have no leaks and you have everything you need so it goes smoothly
bring all our mn gases you will be running. dont use theres. and the best thing you could do is like i said pressurize the system and check for leaks with soapy water. make sure you have all t-bolt clams and no screw type hose clams. and make sure there tight. have new and a spear set of spark pugs with you and the tools to put them in. if your doing several maps don't show up with a full tank of gas. you can always add more but sucks if you have too much. if your going for big power make sure you have a good boost controller and a stiffer spring in your waste gate. the 8 psi spring that comes in the tiel is good for around 26-28psi depending on how you control your boost. not sure what else i can think of...
I am only shooting for around 500hp , I am using a manual boost controller! I am not real big on it but my budget is real low at this time ! I just hope my trans don't go out. how long did it take to tune yours?
i wouldn't go with a manual controller. you cant tune boost per gear or tune for more then one map. you pretty much got one map or you would have to get out and adjust the controller every time and you would have to really get close when you adjust it becouse jorge puts a fuel wall in his maps so if you over boost you don't blow your motor. its not fun to hit. it took about two hours to tune but i had my drive ability tuned for the most part when i got tune with him. thats what takes the longest.
I just bought the aem ems and will be going with a base map that they said they would email me as far as boost control ,couldn't it be controled through the ecu?
^ya, don't mess around with a manual boost controller at your power levels. A higher gear can mean several psi difference. Not good.
you have a good boost controller. if you have it set up to the solenoid right then the stock spring should be fine. im more of a play it safe then be sorry so i put in the 19psi springs. its the lowest amount of boost i plan on running so it works well for me.
yeah i know you got son! you should be fine i would think. wrought the waste gate hoses the right way though..
there was only supposed to 1 spring in it, I took the cover off part way and say 2 springs. Im glad I didnt beat on it alot before the tune. what plugs you running?? I picked up some lfr6a-11 for 3 bucks each they said they were correct.
fobia... what up? long time no talk. not that we ever did TOO much, but how's the car? i dunno if you remember but i have the yellow bug eye from duluth who was fed up and ready to sell but now i've redone just about everything since it didnt make it out last summer and gone BIGGER. hope we can meet up when i head that way this summer or even at some track days. talk to ya soon
i have been running 5w30 right now becouse it is so cold. but when it gets hotter out i run that mobile one 20/50 or what ever it is. has a red cap is all i remember from last year.
dident get far! ended up melting the relay some how thats for the oil pump so i had to get towed home. oh and a little fire but no biggie
