I just got an invida dp and was wondering how much heat wrap it takes to do it correctly as I dont want to buy the 50ft roll if I dont have too.

That should be fine, don't waste money on the stainless ties they try to sell you either, just go to napa or menards and get stainless hose clamps (the worm gear kind).

^^ What he said. Those steel zip tie things are highway robbery and all they do is come loose and cut the crap out of your hands. Some worm drive hose clamps will work just as good.

Also, Get the wrap wet before you apply it. A friend showed this to me before I wrapped the DP on my WRX last year, made it about 107% easier. It is much more flexible and easier to get around the bends, then when it dries it gets nice and tight.

That's a good tip. Learn something new everyday.

Also dont wrap the whole pipe. Stop where is bends underneath the car. Otherwise it will get shredded quickly and you will just have to end up redoing it. Also another good tip is to leave about a quarter inch or more unwrapped at the belmouth. If you dont it can be hard to get the bolts in at the turbo.

Here's a pic, just so you have an idea of what it should look like. I didn't leave the 1" gap and did not have any issues with this ERZ catless.

Yea, it is normal for the wrap to stink for a while. Probably about 50-100 miles depending on the weather, your driving style, etc
