injector problem...help asap

    so i swapped in pe650's starts up no leaks...have a base vf34 map drive 2 miles to go out to eat drive back.....o-ring ripped on one injector and leaked everywhere.....put another o-ring on and drove around again came back and leaked again!!! wtf!?!?!

    I was told STI Pinks...ugggggh.
    Um, becareful, the base map i gave u was for sti pinks...

    Same injector? What is causing the o-ring to fail? Look beyond the part itself...



    Oh, and you should have a wideband if you are playing with this stuff.....

    Yeah i saw that and changed it before i flashed it... we logged it and afrs on there looked great, not sure how accurate those are now that i think of it...

    Naw, I just dog on anyone who modifies turbo cars and doesn't spend $200 on a wideband.




    If two 0-rings have been trashed, either something is causing it to fail, or improper installation is taking place. A grain of sand can do amazing things...

    He has his tuning appt. tomorrow morning at 10 (aqs long as this leak gets figured out)

    yeah the same thing happened just took it out again...maybe tightening the fuel rail to tight?!?!? or unevenly?!?! idk im confused

    those o rings need to be lubricated upon installation if you arent doing that they will tear when putting it in.

    NOW, I'm just eyeball'n it up here, but ...















    I think you could actualy use spit. I have heard that that works quite well.

    You CAN use spit...but its suggested to haawk a big loogie. The thicker the better

    Try SOME kind of lube, a silicone lube works best.

    Assembly lube. It is cheap, and it IS THE RIGHT STUFF. You know you won't run into any o-rings deteriorating from that.

    And yes royal purple assembly lube works awesome.
