so i swapped in pe650's starts up no leaks...have a base vf34 map drive 2 miles to go out to eat drive back.....o-ring ripped on one injector and leaked everywhere.....put another o-ring on and drove around again came back and leaked again!!! wtf!?!?!
wait, those are PE650? I was told STI Pinks...ugggggh. Um, becareful, the base map i gave u was for sti pinks...
Same injector? What is causing the o-ring to fail? Look beyond the part itself... Oh, and you should have a wideband if you are playing with this stuff.....
Yeah i saw that and changed it before i flashed it... we logged it and afrs on there looked great, not sure how accurate those are now that i think of it...
Naw, I just dog on anyone who modifies turbo cars and doesn't spend $200 on a wideband. If two 0-rings have been trashed, either something is causing it to fail, or improper installation is taking place. A grain of sand can do amazing things...
yeah the same thing happened just took it out again...maybe tightening the fuel rail to tight?!?!? or unevenly?!?! idk im confused
those o rings need to be lubricated upon installation if you arent doing that they will tear when putting it in.
NOW, I'm just eyeball'n it up here, but ... I think you could actualy use spit. I have heard that that works quite well.
Assembly lube. It is cheap, and it IS THE RIGHT STUFF. You know you won't run into any o-rings deteriorating from that.
Wait, he posts a thread about a build, yet no numbers? no follow-up? Come on....let's see them!!!!!!! I'm guessing 260 torque, 255whp
