Hi. I'm new. Not to cars, but to this forum and to subaru. i has this: i'm told finding one of these in this color with a 5MT is rare? i bought it yesterday, with 93k on the clock. completely stock. plans: maintenance, 16g, up/dp, accessport, exhaust, susp, brakes, BBS LMs. daily drive. maintain. destroy all humans.... wait sorry wrong show. I started my car journey with a 2000 audi A4, and build it up to a fun track car, it had all the mods you could possibly do before going big turbo. unfortunately, as some of the MN guys on here remember, this past summer sucked for new brighton, MN, as there was widespread flooding. My apt. parking lot flooded, and unfortunately my car was claimed by 4 feet of backed up sewer water and rain. i miss it really really bad. this is where it went. i get really depressed every time i think about that. I put three years of blood, sweat and tears into that audi. it cornered like it was on rails, and was no slouch in the go department. after that, i got into a ****box maxima. it wasn't terrible, i managed to find an 01 SE with a 5sp manual. hard to find, and actually pretty quick. discovered the cancer rust shortly after buying it. replaced battery, and two starters. was getting towards the age where i would have to put a lot of money into it just to keep it. Fortunately, the mechanicals were in good enough condition, and it had low enough miles that the dealership gave me a pretty good trade in value on it, leading me up to yesterday when the situation makes no other sense in the way that it worked out other than some higher power really was on my team yesterday. in short, there is no way i should technically have this car, but a few key turns of events, the starts aligning, or whatever you believe got me into this car. I. Love. It. More pictures will come, but yeah. Satin Pearl White, 93k, new brakes, tires, misc. maintenance performed. 5MT. It is FAST. I was seriously surprised by this thing. I'm already in love, and while it will never replace the audi, it can definitely join it in that special place in every gearhead's heart. About me? I'm 25, engaged, live in new brighton MN, drive this white wagon, I've spent just shy of 7.5 years in the MN National Guard who i currently work for full time. Before starting my full time army career i worked at the O'reilly Auto Parts distribution center in Brooklyn Park MN. Hood. In my spare time i like working on cars, driving cars, talking about cars... yeah. also video games (MW3, forza 4, fallout series, dead island, etc), music (i have a '62 gibson acoustic, 2 yamaha electrics, one from 1987), and getting terrorized by my two cats. Looking forward to being here.
Welcome! Looks like you might be neighbors with "tangledupinblu." Second flood pic... fence in the background... is that a bball court? Anyway, enjoy the wagon and enjoy your stay.

This!!! And also welcome... Sad to see you had to go through this... But on the bright side it put you into a great Subaru. Hit up the event center to see what's going on... Hope to see to around.
this is going to be a daily. if i go more than a 16g, i'm worried that i'll do to much and wreck something.... i need this to stick around for years. my stupid car is either going to be turbo miata or old skool german. coupe quattro w/5cyl turbo? e30 w/ jdm as f*rk power? vee dub in da houze? who knows.
Nice ride. Sorry to hear about the flood damage to your old love. Come on out to some Tuesday meets sometime. We meet up at O.C. at Har Mar around 8 every week.
hey, thanks neighbor! good seeing you again under better circumstances than our parking lot being a crap lake.
Welcome to the forum. That flooding sucks, sorry to hear about that. On the bright side, you have a nice looking leggy gt wagon!
it happened back in june, so i'm mostly over it. i still have the shift knob from the audi. I will never get rid of it.
You need a avatiar... try one of these: http://www.google.com/search?rls=co...F-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&authuser=0
