Well, it took forever to get the oil and coolant lines we fabricated to not leak, but its finally on the road. That BOV is noisey! Now it will slowly get faster over the next few weeks as Abe Froman works his tunezoring magic.

Forced performance's web site says their oil feed lines have 10mm banjo bolts on one end and 12mm on the other just like the stock one. I think you need 12mm on both ends. You'd better call them and ask someone about that.

We hit 5.75 g of load on our safe map at only 14.3 psi if any of you know what that means. Now that we have an oil feed line on there that was made by a professional the thing is working well. Time to start slowly ramping up the boost.

5.75 at 14 psi? That's a good increase over 5 that I see at 17+ on the stocker. What MAF are you seeing? 275? 300?

Which equates to about 260hp at the wheels. Nice. Now it's time to dial that turbo to 19 psi!

Probably not until spring at the latest. I'm going to spend the next few weeks dialing it in after the GM bcs shows up. Until then we need to run a few tuning sessions on wastegate boost to smooth out those timing/fuel areas and to decide on a good boost curve to finally shoot for.

After that, it's time to start on the demise of his transmission, hehehe.

Hopefully you didn't pay to much. Alot of places relized that is the new subaru rage and doubled the price. I thin you should be able to normally get them for like $35 with the pigtail.

I read somewhere that you need the GM BCS to maintain high boost levels, because the stock bleed-type bleeds off too much. Is there any truth to that?

If you can't bleed enough air, the pressure to the wastegate actuator should rise, and you'll get less boost. 3-port solenoid also give you actual vacuum to the wastegate actuator when they're set the right way, helping hold the wastegate shut when you're trying to build boost.

Will's problem was the restrictor pill wasn't opening his giant wastegate fast enough. That and he found some chunk of cotton stuck up against the pill that must've blown out of the compressor housing. Hmmmm.

But I will need the GM BCS at a later date to build and hold boost, correct?

the gm is a blocking system and the stocker is a blead system. The gm will give you quicker spool up and a little bit better control. The stocker will would with most turbos, but once you get something other than a stock turbo you will probably want to change out the restrictor pill to maximize the efficiency. With the gm unit you don't need the pill. The stocker is a bit easier to tune, but more of a pain in the ass to set up. The gm is easy to set up, just more of a pain in the as to tune.
