would a 235 55 17 fit on my stock 2005 legacy gt wheel without issue?

    what bout 205 50 17?

trolling craigslist, hoping there is a deal around on the 1st of feb.

Snow tires run a little narrower than all season and summer. Checkout tirerack for the actual treadwidth of each model tire. But both of those widths in a snow tire should clear the fenders on a stock wheel. The only "issue" with the 235/55 is it's over an inch taller than stock. The 205/50 is pretty damn close to stock and shouldn't be too stretched compared to the 215/45 all-season stock tire.
