    The tire vendor is waiting for their warehouse to get the winter tires in, and once that happens he will be able to give me pricing. I'll keep you all up to date!!

    Talking to Steve the vendor doesn't have their winter stock yet. That is why he doesn't have brand and prices up yet. No worries, they are local and it isn't even fall yet.

    I spoke to Kevin today and he said that mounting and balancing will run around $20 - $25 per tire. He is still waiting for the inventory of winter tires, so I will keep you all up to date! Please feel free to give him a call if you have any questions.

    Will there be any other sizes available for this? The 2011 WRX is going to take either a 235/45/17 (stock size) or a 215/55/16.

    Yes, I just asked Kevin to give me a price for the standard OG Subaru tire sizes. I would imagine he will have any size available that one may need, the only thing I can't tell you is if there would be a price difference. Please contact Kevin with any questions.

    I just got off the phone with Kevin, very nice guy. I'm leaning towards all seasons myself and he said he can offer a discount for them also. So anyone that doesn't want to buy only winter tires you can still get a discounted rate.

    He can get anything. If there is something that you want, give him a call. If it looks to be a standard size or something that someone else might want (ie, '11 stock size), post up the price for the tires you are getting a quote on. We can add it to the first post. There are too many options between what brand tire and what size everyone wants to just get a price on everything.

    Was planning on calling and seeing about prices and options. Only catch is I picked up my 05 wrx after last winter when I moved up here. I don't really know what is a good "winter" tire since I have only lived in the southern tip of IN and mainly in MS so any info for a " winter state noob" would be greatly appreciated.

    This will be my first set of actual "winter tires" I'm currently running no season tires. Kevin is a great guy, just call him up and he will be happy to answer any questions you might have and point you in the direction that fits your budget.

    I'm looking forward to using my Continental Extreme Winter Contacts. I stopped by on Thursday a couple weeks ago, ordered them, and had them installed on my wheels the next day. Great service and very good pricing. Actually came out under what I thought it would cost me.

    Every review I've read has placed them behind the Conti Extremes and the X-Ice Xi2s, including two from Europe.

    I'll be checking on 245/40/18 and 235/45/17. I'll post up what I find.

    I will most certainly get this going again this fall if Kevin is still game. I'd give him a call anyway and see what he may have left over from last year, it can't hurt.

    Well, Kevin no longer works there, but they will still give us a discount. Hell, they will give us discounts on summer tires. I doubt that they have any winter on hand or can get anything now, you are usually out till Sept/Oct before the winters start rolling in.
