So I just finished pulling the EG33 out of the SVX I bought. Took me around 2 hrs. 30 minutes to disconnect and drain everything. Then 5 min to get it jacked up and standed.

    so thats:

    30 minutes
    + 5 minutes
    ------------
    35 minutes

where did the other hour and twenty five minutes go??

    glad you asked

well 10 minutes to actually pull the motor.

the remaining hour searching for 4 bolts that weren't their. Whoever replaced the transmission in this car 2 years ago, put only the starter bolts, the top passenger bolt and one of two nuts at bottom back on. Here i was thinking I've gone retarded and searching the net for something that was already done for me.

Then it pissed tranny oil all over me and I stink.

moved to modification forum. it's on-topic enough for here, :)

yeah, the worst part of changing the axle on my wife's car was when I didn't notice the pile of grease that had formed on the ground and slid my head through it... that grease doesn't wash out easily...

That is lame they didnt put the tranny bolts back in?!?!? as for the covered in used ATF I know how that goes. When I changed trannies after the first ice race, i was laying used ATF for about 3 or 4 days, it does not come out of the hair really easy. although after you get used to the smell it isnt that bad.

All purpose (grease disolving)Organge oil Kitchen cleaner in a spray bottle FTMFW!!!! I got a weird look from my wife, but i took that **** to the shower. IT worked. no more smelling!!!!

I'll post pictures of the SVX engine bay tomorrow, you'll see why (without good lighting in my ****ty garage) I had trouble seeing that thee bolt were missing. It's like someone coated the engine bay with dark vaseline.

    Poorly maintained CArs FTL :(
