Hmmm good question. The psi doesn't really matter. I would really try and run them if you can.

The coolant lines shouldnt take much time to hook up at all. You should be able to run on only oil for a little while, but the coolant lines are going to keep the temps down when its under strain, in addition to helping it live a long life during cool down periods when hot it will also help it cool down slowly during winter months to avoid cracking.

Just my thoughts...of course, I am not objected to being wrong, so take it with a grain of salt.

im no rocket surgeon with this stuff, but i would think that if the turbo is designed to have coolant its probably a good idea to run with it. but like pra4sno said you could probably get by for a little while

My buddy ran a toyota supra turbo on his civic without coolant and it was okay. He didn't drive it too much though.

I say run coolant. It came from the factory like that so i would definately try to keep it like stock. You dont want turbo failure.

Turbo failure sucks. I lost a lot of money because of turbo failure.

Eric, do you use the factory oil/water heat exchanger? Oil has a tough time getting rid of that heat without any kind of cooling.

its definatly not optimal, but it seems to work, i may get an external oil cooler.

ok well im going to try to plumb some coolant lines in but if it comes to it ill go without, its a free turbo afterall and i dont really NEED to gain some horses.
