I think you're pretty much stuck with a 2.0 if you don't wanna work with any valve timing stuff; however I know of a few people using an STI block with WRX heads successfully.

thanks for the info, but thats what i have right now and cant seem to get a reliable setup. I just got done putting my third hybrid setup in it and with in 200 miles it spun another rod bearing! I just want to start fresh with a complete different engine.

If you are willing to look for the 2.5l harness, then you can swap it over.
You will need the pedals also.

well i wanted to stay away from that. Nuke do you know of anybody first hand that is competent enough to assemble a hybrid engine? I wouldnt need the block split just my good piston put in and my heads put on.

Brian you need to just swap everything with the wiring and your computer and go to a JDM Sti long block :) Good luck the 7th engine will be the charm :eek4:

He will absolutely be able to help you, I'm not sure what happend with your other engines, but I'm sure it has something to do with the builder. (not that I even have any idea who it was) Matt is one hell of a mechanic.
