is there a possibility there is something in the hot side which blocked the blades but was knocked back "into" the turbo when i took things apart... if so, how am i going to figure that out? i don't hear anything rattling in there

Make sure there is nothing in the uppipe - like a gasket or piece of gasket, something that could fly up into your turbo when you put it back together.

yeah, that's what i am starting to think was the issue.

However, i'm not all that certain how i figure that out... I DO NOT want to remove that up pipe again (it doesn't fit incredibly well, lol)

I'm about ready to stick my shop vac in there, lol

    it's fixed-

after all this stuff i blew it out with compressed air (as best i could), spun it a few more times by hand to be sure and bolted it back up.

I need a new rubber/plastic intake piece (the one that attaches the turbo to the air filter, as it has some ripping) and i have an exhaust leak now because i was lazy putting it together, lol. but i'm pretty happy all the way around.

Where's the leak at? I have a couple gaskets if you need one?

I prefer my theory of "use bad words and a large metal object".

i have new stock gaskets for everything at my house!

right now it's leaking at the downpipe- i was just too fast tightening it up and re-used the super old stock gasket YET again. The leak isn't bad at all though either.

This was a lot of headache for nothing!
