NO! I'm really sorry to see that man, I've seen your posts and I know you've been working on this thing for a while Are you ok? What happened??

PS - if you end up parting, I'd be interested in the rear sway bar.

 

I've got more then 1 interested party in the hood scoop...I'd ask $75 for it and already promised a friend first chance on it...but first i need to buyback the car. TMF are you wanting the stock rear sway or did you mean the strut bar? I may have another interested party for the whole rear end but like I mentioned earlier, I need to buy the car back first.

My account of what happened was during Thursday, April 18th's snow drizzle I was heading to Pipestone, MN for a car part. (BTW I live in Sioux Falls, SD now) As I was passing a little town called Egan, SD on Hwy 30 heading eastbound I was just cruising 65 (Speed limit) and my lane was fairly clear of the snow and snow drifts. Unfortunately the Westbound lane was gaining drifts due to the Southbound winds. As I came upon a Semi truck I could tell there was another car behind him, which I thought nothing of it as all the cars I've already passed by haven't had any issues aside from the quick splash of slush on my windshield. I turned on the wipers for that splash and as soon as it cleared up, BAAM! Here's the Honda, halfway in my lane! In natural Minnesota fashioned, first thought was, "You f*cking kidding me" then "F*CK!" and boom goes the dynamite! Clips me as you see in the photo, next thing I remember was being in the ditch, facing North and slowly sliding towards a fence. I immediately tried to hit the brakes to not hit the fence, which is when I noticed that I had my foot floored to the ground already (unsure if it was still the gas or the brake as my brain was still on the "Seriously, did this just happen?" phase.) Next came trying to move my left foot to disengage the clutch and shift outta gear (car immediately went dead upon impact from the battery cables disconnecting) and found my left foot couldn't move as the force of the impact upon my tire smashed so hard into the floorboard that my foot was pinned between the floor and the pedal. After a few quick yanks on the leg I got it out, climbed over the center and out the passenger side. I wanted to go over there and kick their ass for destroying my car but thought about the legal issue of beating someone up whilst on the phone w/911...after that just spent a half hour going from police car, to ambulance, to police car to tow truck (My own companies, lol) Went back to my shop, got in the wrecker and went to the hospital for xrays on the foot, hip and leg. So far everything seems more along the lines of bruises and sprains, nothing broken, nothing fractured.

Yup yup, thats my side so far...now time to deal with insurance and the legal stuff. Can't work for the next week which absolutely sucks since its Police week and thats BIG money for my checks...

 

At least you came out of it. If your friend passes on the hood scoop lmk. Would look nice on my fozzy.

 

Dang, really sorry to hear about the accident, and I'm glad to hear that it was only bumps and bruises. It could have been much, much worse. I almost hit someone a couple days ago in the snow when a car cut me off on an off ramp...luckily I steered off onto the side, but I would have flipped SH&^ if I would have hit....so hear where you're coming from!

Anyway, I'm mainly interested in the stock rear sway bar for my 2.5i...so I'd take that if it's not claimed with the entire rear suspension. If you have a rear strut bar too, I may pick that up also. Let us know if you buy it back.

Yes, the damage was pretty bad to the drivers front wheel that I don't believe the shock is any good to anyone.

I'll be pulling things apart this weekend, PM me with all offers and requests and if everyone is in the twin cities area on the 4th of may (Boost for Boobies event) I plan to make a trip up. How much for headlights?

 

Since they sell for $115 new, and the right (Drivers) headlamp is yellow and faded, I'd do $50 for the left (Passenger) and $10 for the right (Drivers)

Pulled the broken shock, I'd say for sure that it needs replacement. Found one online for $200 to replace said shock. Let me know if your interested folks!

Yea, I do. You can also find one on ebay for $30.

 

Is yours > or < than $30?

 

I'd say its the same, between pulling it, and then bringing it up to the cities or shipping it, the price wouldn't really change.

 

Tonight is the last night to get any requests for parts in. If there is anything someone needs me to bring up to the cities I'll be leaving town tomorrow (for Austin, then B4B on Saturday)

 

Sorry, Parts list has been updated but haven't removed the photos of whats already sold. I'll do that quick. The rims are dual slotted for 5x100 and 5x114 I believe (my charger is 5x114 and they fit but didn't clear the hub). Thanks for the interest BroCo

 

How many miles on the turbo? Assuming there is no shaft play?

 

Turbo has seen less then 3000 miles, no shaft play and was rarely boosted since I was in the process of breaking in the new motor still.

Junk, with the windows smashed and spending a week in rain and snow, I don't think its worth anything. Sorry bud, also all pm's have been returned.

 

Pictures have been updated to reflect all parts pulled so far. Transmission, driveshaft, rear diff, rear axle, and passenger front seat are all thats left to pull. Passenger doors have door dings in them but if anyone needs them I can have them pulled for you. Let me know sooner though because once the drive train has been completely pulled, the shell is going to the scrap yard!
