I am in the process of swapping an 03 wrx to a jdm longblock. Motor is out and I am swapping everything over. I am noticing a few differences I am not sure about. There does not appear to be an oil cooler on the jdm motor....... do I need to swap, or I missing something? Also the exhaust manifold on the non turbo side has an open flange. Not a big deal I can swap the manifold, just curious if someone knows why it’s there..... legacy motor?

    Is that a twin-turbo model?

Stamping says ej20. Only reason i can think of it would be there would be for twin turbos. The rest of the manifold looks exactly the same.

It appears to only have the one oil feed line for the turbo so no issues there.

On the driver's side head, it looks like there's some open ports into the oil and coolant passages. Just because the lines aren't there, doesn't mean this wasn't a 208 originally. You'll need to plug those up or use them.
