Just recently purchased this legacy gt from a small dealer. They had very little information about the previous owner and the specific mods that were done. Has anyone ever seen this car before or know anything about it? Just throwing it out there. Any help would be great! image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Welcome, 1st get a compression test if you haven't

    Next, Get a log

If that checks out fine, Change out all the fluids, start fresh

Timing belt may need to be changed if not enjoy the car

Thanks Wong. Any recommendations on a good place to go for a comp test? Car has 111k on it so timing belt is definitely on my list to do.

You could just do it yourself and save $ as its pretty simple if not Devoted Auto Works in White Bear Lake, Rs motors or NF

Don't wait too long, as you're 6k miles over due already and its a interference motor

Those shops can also log it and do the timing belt for you if you chose

Is it just me or should the clamp be over the gimmick turbo inlet?

Yeah, looks like it's missing an important t-clamp!!

I'd definitely have it gone over by someone that knows these cars! As Wong stated, RS Motors-NFPerformance-Subaru Surgeons-Devoted...take your pick! Good luck, nice looking LGT!!

Thanks a ton! Good info. I've been a Honda guy most my life (don't judge) and switched to a 98 legacy about 4 years ago. Thing has 300k on it now and still going strong. So I've had my eye out for a LGT for a while. Subaru all the way

if it's got that tactrix attached, you'll be able to pull any codes or data with just a laptop and a USB cord to it (i think it's USB mini, common on older phones)

Go get OpenSSM in one of the other threads here and it'll tell you everything that ECU's seen. Maybe even do a data log and see how the car's running.
