Yeah besides needing a tune, idk why it hasnt sold. Its probably the cheapest clean title sti right now. (Hell even salvaged ones are more) I JUST REALLY WANT ANOTHER BIKE, lol. Im just super sick of people emailing me saying they want it etc than never showing up or even trying to schdule a day to check it out.

Yes it needs a tune, just do what i do dont beat on it till it gets one.

This is why. At best you're maybe only fouling the plugs and sensors. At worst you're detonating all day errrryday.

It's a good deal, but what stopped me was stock fuel set up + unknown turbo with no branding + no tune.

Ive been trying to get a tune. Everyone is booked out. Devin from d-tune can do it sep 1st so unless nf can get me sooner thats when it will be tuned. The PO thought it was a 20g turbo but wasnt sure. All i can say is its stock frame and have nothing on the housing. Doesnt smoke or have any play so thats a plus.

The soot around the muffler would indicate it's running rich. That's much better than lean. It should be a small measure of assurance for potential buyers.

    ouch.

how much water? insurance usually likes to total them if it was submerged, but just ask @tangledupinblu you can resurrect it... at the risk of seriously fsked electrics depending on the extent

Let me know on the price with the flood damage or what the insurance buyback would cost. I've been looking for a donor car for my STi shell.

It started with going through a good sized puddle water splashed everywhere and the car died, it wouldnt start. So we had to wait for a ride and go back home to use my girlfriends car. It kept downpouring water ended up getting as high as the bottom of the headlights, and the towing company said the floorboard was filled with water from it getting in where the door meets the side skirt. He said it got up to the bottom of the seat but didnt get the seat soaked.

If anyone wants to know info on buy back i can let you know. I probably wont be buying it back my dad owns a body shop and told me flood cars are the worst (electrical issues) claims if their fine right away doesnt mean problems will occur later on. But id love to help someone pick it up for a shell or part out. (Ive been thinking of buying it and parting it out if anything)

I can also go to the salvage yard and get pics and check anything over for anyone that wants.

It truly sucks. I was giving up on selling it and had all the little issues fixed it was coming along great. And had a tune date set for this week :( its been raining non stop here since sunday i cant believe it.

It can be done, but you have to have a certain love for the car. I was absolutely refusing to let Blu die and the water was up to the steering column. Took alot of work and alot of help from great guys on this site, but we got it done! And no electrical issues! Alot of work tho.

Good luck! Sorry to hear about your loss. :(

    Lol!

Well the adjuster will be looking at it monday so will have all info than.

How does this work? The water is obviously gone and the interior just looks dirty do they take the police report and towning companys word that it was filled with water or what?

Hopefully they don't notice that you were desperately trying to sell it for the last month and then this incident happened. ;)

I really dont care, if i were to crash it into something or vandalize it. Yeah that would be suspicious.

But i dont really think a flash flood with weather proof, would be me intentionally doing this. I would never risk putting my 4 year old daughter in danger to get rid of a car. Sorry, im not that type of guy weather you believe it or not.

Hopefully you took pics! Took over a week to get them out to look at mine. The mold was overtaking the interior within 2 days. Good thing that I work in Mold remediation and i took care of it. Still have the seats that were in the flood in my current WRX. Lol

Good luck and PM me if you want this reopened!
