i'm looking at buying this 05 sti http://elitemotorsports.vflyer.com/home/flyer/home/109927008 while looking for some info about the company i came across you guys and what you had to say about EMS. I live in the fargo/moorhead area so is it worth my time to drive down and test drive or buy this car.
Please search this site for world motor cars. Once you have it should be clear that you should run away as fast as you can.
There should be a whole thread bout this from Taras, if I remember correctly. **EDIT by readymix** I took the apostrophe out of Taras. You can save it for use later when the word actually requires it.
I hope you're not serious. If you google them, you'll find the google business page for them. You can tell which reviews they wrote for themselves and which ones are real people.
Nice ninja edit. For those that missed it, he posted a link about elite auto. For anyone reading, please do not get them mixed up with elite motorsports, the vendor/dealership in question here... you know, the one that has sold hacked up salvaged cars and pieces them back together. There are a handful of threads on this site and other local sites that address elite motorsports/world motor cars. Do your research and make an informed decision.
Thanks for the words of advice...I think ill take everyone's adivce and not make the trip down. I got a little excited when I saw 15k on the price tag , I guess my search will continue and will be a happy owner of a sti...one day.
Ah, yeah. After having an Android device for a few weeks now, I'm seeing how auto-correct can and will make a fool out of you when you type things.
atleast you better know what you are getting into. I wouldn't spend anything over a couple of grand on salvage nor as a primary driver. Salvage isn't always terrible depending on your needs. i am biased though and I rebuilt mine for winter beater and don't expect to get any money out of it when I am done with it nor if I get hit by somebody and it is totaled. for OP, just stay away. Save for what you want. Don't spend lots of money on something that you have no idea what has been done to it because it is a good deal or to afford a car.
Please listen to these people and don't buy this car!!! Just read the description of the car and also the blue one they have. If you want a sti best thing to do is be patient and look around. Most stis are beat to **** until the motor blows up and then we build them back up. I have the same motor that the blue one has and I can tell you it is not a 10000$ motor. I am actually looking to upgrade to a crawford 2.7 in the near future. Don't waste your money dealing with those idiots. The people on mnsubaru know their **** and won't lie to u about an issue like this
Mind you its not an sti but I was looking at a wrx o6 with 42,xxx for if I remember somewhere around 18,000. Just an fyi. You will find something worth your hard earned $$$.
