I'm working on pictures right now, wanted to get the thread up with prices while I do that.

All parts installed this year in April (except the intake and downpipe, those went on the car in January). Turbo, header/uppipe/wastegate and TMIC 0nly have about 3000 miles on them since installation. All parts are in proper working order. I am not going to part out the header and uppipe since they go together, the EWG I may be willing to sell separately. Open to offers but not looking for trades at this time, except for a functional car.

    Precision turbo model 5530 - $1400
    Specs are here: http://www.precisionturbo.net/turbo...-Turbocharger---Subaru-WRX--STi--Forester/547
Great street turbo, easily made 400+ WHP on E85 @23 PSI, held back by injectors (ID1000's)

Killer B "Holy Header" 4-2-1 EL header with uppipe & Tial 38mm EWG - $1800
    specs: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/product/kil-hh-ewg-killer-b-motorsport-4-1-holy-header-w-ewg
This thing is a work of art. Header & uppipe come wrapped in DEI titanium, I am not removing the ties to take pictures, can produce receipt to demonstrate that I am not trying to pass off some other brand.

    Invidia 2-bung divorced wastegate cat-less downpipe - $200
    specs: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/sh...invidia-downpipe-divorced-wastegate-w-2-bungs
The beginning of the modding obsession. Once you go stage 2, you never look back. Also wrapped in DEI titanium, not removing for pics, can produce receipt.

KS Tech 73mm "Big MAF" cold air intake w/AEM cone filter - $150
    specs: http://www.kstech.biz/2008-wrx-sti-megamaf-73mm-big-maf-cold-air-intake-type-2/
True cold air intake, includes pass-through plate to protect filter from water/block heat from engine bay.

    ETS TMIC - $500
    specs: http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/product/ets-100-04-ets-top-mount-intercooler-silver-core
    This thing's a beast. Easily supports 500 WHP+ on E85.

Will be adding ID1000's and IAG TGVs at a later date (once they come off the car).

Nope, selling the car. Engine blew so it's time to go back to stock and be done with it. Was fun while it lasted.

Yeah those headers are a work of art. Pricey but nothing is better without going custom.
Sucks about the blown engine! But can't say Im surprised with that turbo on the stock block lol.

I'm about to be going down the same path, stock turbo though. headers, fuel pump, injectors, e85 etc - budget for internals wont be possible for another year or two. With your info in mind, I will prob keep it at around 400 whp to be on the safer side until internals are done.

    GLWS.

I might take you up on that catless DP. Currently running catted invidia. I'll let you know within a week.

Thanks, good luck with the build. Though I feel obligated to reset your expectations and inform you that you will not be achieving 400WHP on the stock turbo, at least not without a new compressor wheel and port job and one hell of an aggressive tune, in which case you will be blowing up your engine anyway. I hit 289WHP on RS' dyno on E85 with the stock turbo (+ intake, downpipe, fuel pump, injectors, BPV, Grimmspeed EBC, and Accessport) and was maxing out the stock top-mount. That's pretty much the limit of the stock turbo on these cars. Now, if you want to have a dyno run that says you make 400 WHP there are plenty of companies out there willing to adjust the dyno sheet to read whatever number you like...

Not to go too far offtopic, but if you go anything over stock power on the stock sti block, and you're at risk of cracking a ringland. No way in hell will you RELIABLY run 400 whp on the stock block, not even 350 whp. I cracked a ringland at stage 2 + E85 on my 08 sti.

Budget for your built shortblock first, then go for more power. If you go beyond stock power now, keep up with maintenance and monitor compression (1x-2x per year) so you can catch the ringland failure early before catastrophic failure.

Anyway, the dead, beaten horse that is ringland failure has been beaten to a pulp. Sorry to go off topic here. glws!

Just for another point of reference, the ringlands aren't the only point of failure on these engines, my engine blew because of overspun bearings.

Really glad you all are telling me I'm going down the wrong path. Will be re-thinking my build.
How much power were you at when you cracked a ringland?

I've heard that even stock ones fail at stage 2. Better plan for a more thorough build.

Correct, ringlands do crack at stock power. I was at ballpark of 300-350 whp and 325-375 wtq.
@Mintyfloss feel free to PM me and I can share my experience and $.02

That's cool but you actually wrote "budget for internals wont be possible for another year or two" which sounded like it was not possible for you to pay for an engine build so my advice still stands.

I wasn't giving you "retirement advice" I was giving you solid advice that if "budget for internals won't be possible for another year or two" you should put the money you are dumping into mods into a piggy bank and save for the engine build instead.
Your expectations were clearly WAY out of line with reality (thinking you can get 400whp on stock turbo and that it is keeping it safe on a stock motor) which indicates you haven't done much research so I thought you could use some good advice. But sounds like you moved some money around and you know everything now so you don't need any help lol.
