AWD or FWD? How is the transmission doing? Was it ever replaced?

So was the trans ever fixed?

    More pics/info would be useful.

fwiw, based on the one picture the exterior is in better shape than 99% of svx's I've seen. That said, I agree. I bought a 6speed svx and a 2.5rs for 6k COMBINED.

6-speed? So they pulled the tranny from an STi and put it in there? That sounds like a nice beast there, and way ahead of the 5 speed swaps!

I can't say that i didn't abuse it once before you ended up with it. ;) but yeah, it was still a bit slow- execution of swap was meh but for the person who did it it was a good job based on his level of experience. I believe the 6spd cost him much more than the car cost him.

Yeah don't get me wrong, it was still quicker than the stock auto... but that's not saying much at all. Its just a big and heavy car.

Ah the reality of old cars. It's a very nice car. Outstanding condition, Edmunds lists this at $1000 trade in or $1400 private sale. This isn't to say that people may not pay more for the car as it is a unique thing. This also isn't to say that people are not trying to sell their SVX for more either. The SVX isn't exactly selling left and right, so there is some rarity. 30 years from now it might be worth quite bit, and it could be one of those cars you simply store away for a small fee for a number of years.
