For sale is a 1998 Chevy K1500, asking $2,500. Under my ownership, it has been used as a "yard truck" and was basically used to haul stuff from Home Depot and leaves/garden waste in the Fall. It's been incredibly reliable for me! I purchased it from the original owner, a Chevy mechanic, who used it to haul his sons carts for cart racing. He assured me that he had rebuilt the transmission and I have no reason not to believe that as the transmission has given me absolutely no issues. Here are the details: Chevy K1500 5.7L 350 V8 Extended Cab Automatic Transmission 232,000 Miles GOOD: - New brake lines, calipers, discs, and pads as of a year ago. - New accessories belt - New air filter - New MAF a couple years ago - Remote start - 4WD works - Z71 Wheels NEEDS WORK: - Rust in the typical areas (quarters, rockers, tailgate) - Mismatched color tailgate - AC doesn't work. Diagnosed as the condenser, but I opted not to fix since this wasn't my daily driver. - CEL light just tripped a few days ago. Bank 2 downstream 02 sensor (P0430). Does not affect drivability nor reliability. I have since seen an exhaust leak at a connection between the upstream and downstream 02 sensor, so this is the problem. A simple gasket, not the actual 02 sensor itself. - Radio doesn't work, but has an aux hookup that works just fine. - Parts of the exterior plastic trim has aged and is falling off This has been a great truck for hauling odds and ends over the years. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I just moved to a home with a smaller driveway and I don't have the space for it to sit in the driveway anymore. Otherwise, I'd hang onto this trooper for cheap hauling needs. Either DM me or better, shoot me a text at 7six3-4four2-94nine9. Text is probably better since I am not super active here. Thanks!
Looks like some pics dropped off and I don't think I can edit in the FS area, if I remember correctly. Here they are reposted. Also, for the MNSubaru crowd, I'm willing to drop the price down to $1,500!!! Get yourself a perfectly capable truck, with 4wd, before the snow falls!!!!
This is still available if anyone is getting sick of getting stuck in the recent snow we've been getting!
