    Hi all,

First and foremost, easiest way to get in contact with me is via my cell at (952)913-9649.

I am selling my 1999 Subaru Forester. I have owned it for about two years now. Since owning it, I have upgraded a lot on it.

I do not need it. I am motivated to sell it. However, it does make a good commuter and gets better gas mileage than my GS400.

I am asking $5500 OBO cash only Please do not flame my posting or shoot me a text about my price. Make an offer or don't. Simple.

The forester is originally from Alaska so it is not rusty. The only rust is surface rust from the rear fender flaring.

    Information about my Forester:

    Year: 1999
    Make: Subaru
    Model: Forester L
Mileage: 153,xxx (will go up slowly as I still use it)
    Color: Maroon/black
    Interior color: Beige/black
    Title Status: Clean
    Trans: 5spd manual

Here are the following upgrades/modifications I have done to the Forester...

2004 STI front lower control arms
Whiteline front lower control arm bushing kit
    WRX rear LSD diff/brake conversion
    Drilled/slotted rotors
    Rear adjustable toe arms
    Rear adjustable links
    2.25" stainless exhaust
    18x9 or 9.5" Rota Grid rims w/ 245 40 18 tires
JDM STI SF5 front clip: fenders w/ working side markers, front bumper, hood, grill
JDM STI SF5 front and rear seats
VIPER 5906v alarm system 2-way: need to get a new remote for it as it is misplaced
    BC coilovers

    Cons:
    ABS light is on
Rear links are all spherical bearings so it is a little louder than bushings
Rear fenders were flared (not the greatest job, but not extremely ugly)
JDM front clip is black while the Chassis is Maroon
Exhaust is a little louder than I would like to have it

Again the easiest and quickest way to get in contact with me is via my cell phone at (952)913-9649

Heads up that when you say something like this in a FS ad, you're stating that you're intentionally price gouging and only a complete moron would pay your asking price. Good on ya if that was your intention.

    Price gouging?

I am sorry I did not realize it was price gouging.

Here is what you'd need to pay for it if you did it yourself:
    BC Coilovers: $995
    Sti Lower control arms: 200-250
    Whiteline bushings/LCA kit: $225
    STI front: $1400
    STI interior: $700
    Exhaust: $200-250?
    Rims: ~$700-1000
    Viper alarm: ~$400-579

I mean I know this because this is what I paid and put into it.

All is well though. I guess there is/was a reason I decided not to be an active member on this website. Pretty sad how childish people are.

Good luck with the website. I am closing this thread.

Mods don't equal additional value. Great on you if you find the person looking for these exact mods that will pay for it but most won't and it does not increase the cars worth.

    In this thread:

Person forgets mods typically do not add value to a car, tries to sell dented ass forester with janky ****ed up fenders, stancelyfe brotas, and an STI front end grafted on to an NA for clean car money, tells people how to make offers.

    lol.

Well, you certainly wouldn't be the naive douchebag you're coming off as.

Mods don't add value to the car. If you add mods, it doesn't mean that you can add the price of said mods to the car. Well, at least in the real world. I'm not sure what planet you're living on but economics and reality certainly aren't on the menu.

Feel free to show yourself the door.

I figured it out. He spent on cosmetic mods to his forester to be a "baller" but now can't get rid of the thing so he is broke and ask 5,500 yen for the car. Broke Azz Baller

    My expertise?

    LOL

    I have a 3-rotor that I am building.

Funny thing about advertising is this...

    Any advertising helps sell :)

Thanks for all of the negativity.

It is actually quite humorous. Keep it coming.

The more people that hate the more people will see this. :)

Its amazing how many people are two-faced in this website. I make a build thread on here talking about how I will be building it...Nothing but support.

I go to post it on here (with intent to sell) and then nothing but hating.

    This is amazing.

Probably why I stick to the rotary crowd.

The problem with your "advertising" idea is that the tenured people on this forum have more of an influence on the community than your dope 3 rotor sales will.

Was not my advertising idea. I think people fail to realize that regardless of what you or the others think about how you interpret this vehicle there are always other people that disagree.

Moral of the story: Even if your build thread gained support (which I haven't seen I've been inactive) those people supporting it were supporting what you were doing to the car, not assuming you would add the value of the parts to the car. You can find a bug eye in similar condition for less money.

Where you lost the support of the community was when you overpriced a nearly 20 year old Forester with rust and questionable body work, and then tried to justify it with "Well, I added these mods and this is what I paid for them." That lack of reasoning doesn't go over well around here. Also, this thread is serving as a warning to whoever might have been considering it that the car is overpriced. It's getting plenty of attention, but exactly the wrong kind.
