To further elaborate on SurlyOldMan's explaination of moderator discretion...

In certain situations, it is reasonable to allow people the opportunity to socially correct stupid behavior. Much like in the meat-world, when you walk into a group of your peers and say something incredibly stupid, there are social consequences.
In the case of this thread, and your posts, trying to sell some hacked together, nearly 20 year old Forester for three times what it is worth has led to social consequences.

And much like in the real world, people laughed at how absurd and stupid that was. And in your case, instead of adjusting your expectations of worth, you instead went off the deep-end and got all butthurt. I'm sure you've had situations in real life, where you told a bunch of peers something equally stupid as what you wrote in this thread, and they likely told you that it was stupid. And you likely got butthurt about it and started whining or trying to tell on them to an authority figure. Who likely told you to suck it up buttercup, you said something stupid, get over it, move on, learn from your mistakes. Maybe you just suck at reacting to social cues.

My point is, sometimes as a moderator, you take direct action. And sometimes, you let your community sort it out. That's what makes an internet community work. I have had tons of success with this approach over the years. Facebook has made this job more difficult over the past few years. Numerous dip**** children and young adults graduate from Facebook to the big-boy internet, and find out that the ass-patting, narcissistic echo chamber they've built for themselves on Facebook isn't going to follow them and coddle them when they make dumb mistakes. Internet forums are still the last bastion of social interaction with consequences. And me, personally, I intend to keep MNSubaru that way.

Deal with it.

This thread will never get locked. I may sticky it as a warning to others that when you are pricing vehicles for sale on MNSubaru, that you use your brain and tools like KBB/NADA for pricing instead of pulling stupid numbers out of your ass.
