1999 Subaru Forester: Modded 5spd (lets get this sold!)

Believe it or not, I think this kid actually did sell this thing and now the new owner is already trying to dump it. New owner posted on the MNCEC facebook page crying about how someone keeps flagging his CL posts LOL

Didn't Broke Azz have a listing on MNSubiez for it earlier? Could always check to see if it was the same guy.

 

Sorry, I was mistaken. They were just talking about him there. Someone thought the guy's name was Nick so maybe not the same person.

I didn't sell it for $5000. I sold it for $3500.

No sway bars, no mounts, just how it looked with the jacked up rear fenders from the previous owner.

Here's a story behind this forester and you can believe it or not I frankly don't care. I have nothing to prove to anybody. I'm a little too old for this immature banter.


I purchased this car for $600 from a guy from Alaska with a top mount ski Yakima storage bin. The car had bad suspension and balljoints.

I sold the storage thing for $200. Making this car a $400 investment.

Then I purchased and I stalled the bc coilovers, sti lower control arms, whiteline bushings, enkei rpf1, sti interior and front clip.

I spent:
$995 on coilovers,
$250 on sti arms and bushings,
$20 on wrx/Impreza subframe bolts and new nuts,
$600 on interior,
$940 on the front clip.
$540 Viper 5906v alarm system

Then some cheaper sti rear spherical bushings and adjustable rear links.

I initially sold the forester to a Croatian guy for $4600 + $650 in other wrx parts that I parted out.

That guy installed a wrx rear diff, sold the enkei rims, I stalled the cheap rotas, rolled/flared fenders in the rear, installed a cheap exhaust, installed new powerslot rotors with hawk brake pads.

They moved to Colorado and I bought the forester back for ~$2800.

I was like wtf did they do to the fenders. They said they flared it. I was like with a brick?

Anyways, I sold the forester to a kid that apparently sold his miata and bought this. Again, I sold it for $3500.

I love how people believe I didn't sell it. I frankly don't care.

I made money both times. Life goes on.

moderstors really need to follow the rules of the forum. There is no policing here as it seems like people are all buddy buddy.

Grow up kids and learn to enjoy life without causing issues. Life is too short to stress about whether a person should or shouldn't buy a car.

Again, grow up and move on with your life. I'm way too old to have drama over an online thread. I own no other subarus at this point in my life.

Don't judge people for his/her build. Just be humble and move on with life.

Exchanged deuces with this Forester on 77 yesterday. Couldn't tell you whether or not the seller was the pilot but I can tell you that those rear quarters look every bit as terrifying in person as they do in the pics. Potentially worse.

Part of me actually feels bad for the little Fozzy. I do like that older body style and the JDM front. Seems like it has potential to be a decent ride but it's probably doomed to just get bounced around from one MNSubiez sucker to another. If it were MUCH cheaper I might be tempted to take it in and do it myself.
