The irony in a particular members posts are comical. I don't mean to **** in anyone's fruit loops but PPG's are stronger than stock, not unbreakable. Doesn't excuse the fact a 5k transmission was replaced by a 500 unit but you can break them. Wouldn't be the first local PPG gearbox to fail ...

How can you buy a car for 12k, replace the tranny with stock then charge 5k more? unless that primed scoop less hood has a special keep your transmission alive mod?

It's sad what he did to it. Not sure where or how my old wrx is doing but if it got treated like this I would regret selling it even more.

Yeah. It sat for nearly a year at 12000 WITH the PPG gearset. I doubt it sold without that tranny for 17k in 24 hours. But this isnt the first time we have had someone pull a fake sale stunt.
Did I read the OP right??? he has driven less then 1500 miles since owning this car yet the 6 puck clutch that he installed with the stock 03 tranny has 2000 miles on it???? Either my math skills are lacking more then I thought, or is he saying he installed a used clutch in a glass transmission????
Stop trolling bitc*** u guys don't know what he had to do to at lease get the car running right, stock fuel pump, bad leaking teins, outdated interior with stains and cigarette burns and new injectors eBay clutch that slipped at first launch. It's not the drive that cause the ppg to go out its that ppgs r junk and can't the hold power that the Wrx is pushing, 3 people that I know of that had 2nd gear go out on them, the ppg broke before they could even get the real whp out of the motor. Do ur research before hating on other people please. As he says if you don't like there is a back botten. I thought there would be better people on here but a bunch of dbags that have nothing to do but bitch and troll.

I drove on that PPG gearset for 5 years without breaking it, on the same power you said broke it before the real whp got massaged out of the engine. And when it was sold, there were no signs of it having any issues at all. The fuel pump wasn't stock, I would know, I installed 4 of them in that car. The Teins weren't leaking when I sold it. The clutch wasn't an 'ebay clutch', it was a Spec Stage 3+ clutch that I bought from ImportImage. It was also 5 years old, never had an issue with it, but it is 5 years old, replacing wear and tear items doesn't add value to a car. And another thing to note, when you send someone in to talk **** for you, make sure they have a basic grasp of how to spell and use proper grammar. That way it doesn't look like I'm picking on the mentally challenged.
Is that why the car was recently tuned by Nuke? No, your being a troll. We are a tight knit community and aren't scared to call bull**** to save our fellow members headaches. So because "ppgs r junk" you don't see if they were warrantied? I smell bull****. Research? If you did research you would see this car isn't worth $17k.
