    Question?

    How many of you are treating this like your own little taladega nights session and how many of you are treating this like a sunday cruise?

    No offense to anyone but I have anxiety issues with sharing the road with people who drive like jackasses.

    I just want to know what exactly I'm getting into.


    (Sorry, it's just that I'm new here and am not 100% sure of peoples style, seriously no offence to anyone.)

    I tink it will be a nice cruise. Dont get me wrong there will be some parts were people are going to get on it a bit, but i think we all respect each other enough to share the road with fellow subie owners. It will be a blast. if things get out of hand (wich they wont) than just fall back a bit? just my .02

    If I go to this thing, I'll have my 3yr old with me, so I won't be getting up to any jackassery. We could have our own slowpoke mini-convoy while the speed demons roll on ahead and keep all the cops busy for the rest of us :)

    For the ride/video/and fact that this is a member/family friendly event, I would appreciate everyone riding together at a "cruise speed." Hard to get footage of the club together if you don't stick tight together. On the way home, it may be a free for all for the simple fact that everyone may leave at different times and/or stay in La Crosse for the night to hit the night life!

    Remember...this is a club event and to act foolish would be poor "pr" and also bad publicity may limit us to future events...plus with the possibility of a 50-100 car convoy down a two lane highway it really limits your speed...from my experience with the Ice Race to Orr,MN., its more fun to ride with the "pack!";)

    I don't think anybody has to worry about being left behind though. There should be plenty of people taking it easy. We should probably designate somebody to run 'sweep' in case anyone has car trouble, etc. We can also coordinate radios for communication. I have a CB, I know some people have mobile HAM radios, others have FRS radios, we should be able to set up some kind of communication system...

    duluth trip is an interstate.....61 is not, and like I said, it would be nice if t3h f4st3r could stick with everyone else for the vids sake! And I do plan on finding a location to shoot vids from an overpass in cottage grove if a couple of you are doing pulls on the 4 lane...it would be a good spot to do them before the 2 lane stuff comes up.;)

    Well, the biggest thing to remeber is the larger amount of people involved. You can pretty much bet large amounts of money that when a pack of 50+ cars goes rolling down the road, people will be watching. Once you start going though some of the small towns along 61, we will get some popo attention.

    wow, i love it when i'm caught up with work and come back to the forum after a while and find stuff like this. (it's kept me occupied for over an hour reading the WHOLE THREAD!) anyway count me in unless something like a wedding comes up on the day of the event (i have too many friends getting married)

    :werd: Construction has left me workless right now....sooooo....unemployment and post whoring for me! hahaha...also, because of my stepping up and suggesting that we should do something like a "La Crosse trip" or something lead to me voluntarily becoming the event host! I'm going to do my best to put this together for everyone to enjoy! But it is going to take alot of work planning and organizing so I need all hand raisers to be serious in saying they will participate. So yeah, I watch this thread constantly for comments/ideas/volunteers and Nathan's subtle comments!!hahaha....high post %'s! FTW!! this is one more for me!<<<<:)
