looks like all the spots are taken, please make sure if you paid and for some reason your not on the list let me know. I might be able to put 1 more person on the floor somewhere, but thats probably it. if you need a room, Normans motel in Orr charges $53.00 per couple per night. Thats the cheapest you can get in Orr.
if I get one, I would most likely try and bring it. If I do get one a hitch will be put on my car so I can tow it with that... so I can have fun on the sled and in my car...
I know, parents were going to add another cabin but wound up remodeling and adding on to their house. So maybe in a year or 2
it would but the parents would rather not deal with the drunks and having to be there all the time.When/if I take over I would build a restaurant/bar.
I have the sizes written down on paper, I keep editing and everytime i sem to loose some of the stuff I had down
I might have to go buy extra camera batteries lol so how do lowered cars do at these things? I'll get a skidplate before the race, wondering if I should bother raising it at all?
eh, I'll spend pretty much all my time photographing with very little driving. maybe I'll take my dad's FXT instead
Last year I never had any trouble with my car being lowered, usually when you get stuck you get STUCK to the point were an extra inch or two of clearance isn't going to help.
true, i guess the only thing I worry about is severe bumper carnage lol how much clearance do you have? also if it's really cold I'd rather be in a car than freezing my balls off standing on the ice
i will bring my camera too. i dont know for sure if im gonna race yet. sounds like a lot of fun. put me down for a large
just FYI as of today all deposits are nonrefundable, its getting too close to the race and I dont want to deal with switching things around. Thanks
Rich, hey bud! Ill be making the ride up your way Saturday morning I think. Ill probably bring the good old Jeep and sled. Do you have any more room available Friday or Saturday night? Not a big deal... its not to far of a ride
HAHA! I remember hearing you say that you didnt plan on driving that much. that didnt last too long. The lowered car issue isnt a big deal like prezawagon said. You have seen my car, and I did just fine. got stuck twice i think and both times the tires were not really in contact with the ice.
Hey Pat, I dont think there is any room left even on the floor. If someone drops out I will put you down first.
rich...if possible a nascar ring like the first year would be AWESOME again. its a great place for the drunks to go instead of destroying the main track. how about it? also, bringing lowered cars to the ice races is a definite FTL
^ psh i had my lowered integra up there and still had a great time... just cause u cant keep your side skirts on your cars doesnt mean everybody else cant..
I had no issues last year with my prodrives on. I will be there again this year with the same ride height.
ok let me rephrase...if there is actually snow up there then lowered would really suck. last year there was hardly any snow so it didnt matter that much. if there is alot of snow this year like there was the first year you will definitely want to raise your adjustable suspension all the way up.
I hear ya. Wish I had adjustable suspension. KYB AGX struts with prodrive springs... heres hoping I don't lose a mud flap or side skirt.
I'll be raising mine up, swapping to softer springs, adding a skidplate and maybe some other goodies (basically decided to move from being slammed to something I can use for rally x this coming year)
Justin has some skid plates available, otherwise primitive racing make some too (espc for you GC/GM/GF people) I am not too worried about the lowered car thing. the first year the course was plowed so all you had to worry about was hitting a bank too hard. my car was literally raised about 1" for the first year and it would have taken ALOT of work to get myself into a snowbank since they were quite big. if you keep it on the track you dont need to worry about getting stuck.
I rallycrossed on my current relatively low setup and to be honest the thing you should be the most worried about is the bottom edge of your front bumper cover
