cool. to be honest, the other reason I'm raising my car back to stock or close to stock is they are re-paving my street this summer
meh, lowered....not lowered. either way, if there's snow (like there was at the second ice race last year!), you're fine while on the track, and stuck if you go off. doesn't matter what suspension you're running. but there's lots of us around, and lots of people will have tow straps (I always carry my 30,000 lb recovery (loops on the ends and not hooks, much safer!) strap and 2 large shackles. you won't get left. don't get me wrong, lowered isn't ideal. but you'll still have a freakin blast!! might just want to be a bit more cautious.
^^Oooops, that was the wrong one. I meant THIS!!\/\/\/ :yumyum:Tandem:yumyum:...and btw, the yellow bugeye wagon is my fav!
im not sure, I will be doing some fishing tomorrow to try to get some fish for the fish fry. I will measure the ice then.
a consistant foot? i read in the paper today about poor ice conditions on a lot of lakes around the cities and up north
i remember last year my mom was concerned that I'd fall through the lake...until I called her when we got there "Mom, I think the ice is fine, were sitting in the middle of the lake, and a loaded dump truck just drove by..."
Yeah, that made us feel plenty safe out there for the 2nd ice race. Too bad we couldn't convince him to do a lap in the dump truck. Seems like the cold weather is holding up there, I think the ice should be good this year. Last year we were worried for the first ice race. I think there was only about 14 inches for the race, but it was fine.
just need to watch out for that sand bar now. this year please no giant ice hunk right right by the star of the course. that thing would have totalled out a car really quick, especally when we truned that corner into a high speed drift corner
I was working on a F-450 with a dump tray the last 2 days... %^&%^$%^% rusted on rims.. took 8 hrs to change 4 tires.. YES 8 hrs... torched them, used giant pullers, hammers, air chisels... even penetrant... glad that's over, but the reason I am talking about this truck is I had the lug nuts loosened off and went out the back lot of the dealership and was hooking donuts into teh potholes trying to break the wheels loose... FUN....
me?? if you are talking to me, then its undecided yet... I have to let someone know soon... but I also have to see with the wife if its ok... budget etc... time.. she gets lumped with 3 kids for the weekend
Haha, come on! We need to do a few blind laps at 1 in the morning again. That is if Rich has room on a floor in a cabin?
can't wait!!! my extra lighting will be here next week and then i need to get a bar made and installed before the ice driving hopefully i won't need a bigger battery  btw Rich will the grills be operational this year? and we shouldn't have to worry about the sewer freezing up this year with all the snow
