Yea, Might just go find our families property up there and set up camp there ..! Hopefully i can get the time off.
Ill find it on google maps and edit it back into this post. somewhere down 23. Its a right off it on some logging roads.
Hey rich, do you think it might be possible to squeeze some one in on the floor In cabin 3 in our room, my roommate has expressed interest.
if you dont mind him in your room thats fine, I put 2 people on the floor in each cabin and im sure alot more can fit, I just didnt want it too crowded for everyone else.
Ok, I know Stat wont mind, so I'll PM justin and ask if he cares. And you can put me down for the "Thursday crew" as well.
you a very smart man. Beth and I will be there mid day friday!!! we were just out on my parents lake on the bay and well, I am ready to come visit.!!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
just got off the lake, man is it slushy. We had a bunch of snowmobilers this week so hopefully their tracks wont mess up the course.
hmm.. maybe plowing ahead of time would help things freeze? plow the course, let it freeze, and then have a bunch of snowmobile with studded tracks tear up the ice to smooth things out a bit.
I might have to go out there next week, not quite enought ice for a 3/4 ton truck and big snow banks , hopefully after I plow it we get some more snow and I will just leave that.
Yeah, or maybe make something you can drag behind the plow truck that can groom the track surface. Some chainlink fence with some weight on it might work. I think people will be pulling a lot of snow onto the course from just driving on it.
Just checked the ice, 13 inches in the middle and 9.5 close to shore. There is so much snow that it isnt making alot of ice. My guess that during the race there will be around 15-16 inches on the course and around 12 inches close to shore where the snow is deepest.
why are people still worried about the ice when there was a lot less last year and only a couple of cracking noises cause everyone parked next to each other...
You don't want to do that...I had to jump in last year last when my dog broke through the ice trying to catch a muskrat. You would think your adrenaline would keep you going but as soon as you hit the water--it's so cold that you can hardly catch your breath.
I know how that works. Ive been in water that cold before. It was kinda a joke. Arg i really want to go. Really long list of stuff to do to be able to go tho
Yea, First of i need to get rid of these DAM RE92s (worst tire ive ever had on a car). I get a paycheck between now and then, So hopefully something better will get put on my car! I also have that whole sleeping arrangement to take care of.
Is someone bringing a video camera up for the weekend? I cant make it and I'm pissed about it. Looks and sounds like so much fun. I really want to see some footage of the shenanigans!
I have an all season tire on my car right now...Good Year Assurance...Rich and I have been very impressed by them. Rich and I will be switching between these tires and the studdeds between our cars.
I've be taking a look around the Michigan Ice Racing forum lately...and this picture jumped out at me as being awesome.
Nice, Was thinking of going with winter tires but as it snows more they become rare. Wish i had the money right now for them.
Urabus vids will be bringing up his fancy camera. no need to fear, there will be plenty of pics and videos.
Is bed 2 in cabin 2 still open?? Or if its taken can i get a floor spot in 5??? Also should i bring up the STi or the 2 sleds again??
