Bring the 2 sleds You are the last person getting squeezed in though!!! No one else unless someone else drops out or stay at the motel. NO MORE ROOM!!!!!!!
It's looking like my car will be on the road, but not broken in or tuned to really give it the beans. So I'm thinking I'm going to drive my jeep up there. If anyone has any sleds and is looking for them to be brought up there as well as your suby, get a hold of me and we can figure something out
I should have my motor in and running on mon or tues. That gives me a week to break it in. My tune is fine for the most part, so I don't need to worry about that. And Max, I should be in duluth the Wednesday before so we can play with teh Linkz.
so far I think Ksal is bringing 2 snowmobiles and I think Dream is bringing his. Is anyone else bringing snowmobiles??
I plowed most of the 1/4 mile drag strip, Im going to plow a bank in the middle so the cars wont hit.
Whens the second ice race going to take place? Do to some unforseen conditions I might not be able to go. If someone reimburses me for my $40 pre-payment I will let you have my spot on the couch in cabin 5.
im not sure when the 2nd one will be, I have to check reservations and do it at a time that the cabins are open.
Oh man I wish I could go! Stupid paid work trips that involve getting paid while riding bikes! Really though I wish I could be there.
I'm driving out there for a day of fun and leaving soon after night fall so I'll see you clowns out there. I won't be needing any cabin spot for the night.
Started a new thread for the when are you leaving hook-ups. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21329
Don Larsen of Range11 (NBC station of Northlands Newscenter) is planning to attend Saturday of the event and wants to do a little story. He is a fellow Subie member owning a silver 2007 Impreza 2.5.
That will be awesome! You have to get him to do some laps. they should just setup a camera on the ice and broadcast all day on public access TV. I would watch it.
Or, if he could bring the news helicopter and get some nice footage from the air. Maybe they don't have a chopper though. Anyway, we'll have to do our best to try to look semi-organized while he's there.
we where thinking of two banners, one on each side. (of the start) (but I haven't verified this yet.)
I just got off the lake trying to plow.. its not looking good for a big track. There is alot of slush on the lake, and the only thing that doesnt have slush is a 1/4 mile strip I plowed last week. Im doing my best to get something made soon, I might have to move it farther out.
that sucks, would it be possible to just pack down a track if the plowing doesn't pan out? cones would need to be used then most likely. oh well it will be fun no matter what happens:biggrin:
Im going to see if I can pack it down tomorrow, I spent the last 2hrs soaked from all the water. My 4 wheeler is still out there stuck
Yeah, smaller tracks would be fun too, we could have an oval track like last year too, something for practicing pendulum turns.
I love the news helicoptor thing, I have asked my boss for one for years but he insists we don't have the money. As for you being semi-organized when I am shooting the story, well wait till you see me in action. I am very pleased to be apart of the group and I want everyone to know that the story I am focusing is on the fun you all have and that actually driving on ice makes you a better driver in real life, and of course to show everyone that dosen't have a Subie what they are missing. Thanks for allowing me in the club and I can't wait for next weekend. rangestrider of Range 11 News
