The only reason I went to bed before ten saturday was because I was drunk, eventually after I got up I headed back to the party cabin. =]

who said that? I expected people to drink, I even participated a bit (not as much as most of you guys, but I was more than a bit buzzed for awhile on Saturday). I expected shenanigans, and enjoyed it for hours.

but I don't care how drunk you are, throwing a lit bottle rocket into a cabin is 100% unacceptable. end of discussion there. and at 2:30 in the morning, how hard is it to stay out of a cabin with all the lights off. that's all. it's a big resort, it was like clockwork. I turned off the lights, and went to bed. and about 15-20 minutes later, people come tromping through the cabin.

is that seriously too much to ask?

I'm glad some people are hearing my point. Everyone had a lot of fun, myself included.

EJ22tim. I'm honestly surprised to hear you defending the fun so much (obviously you had a good time at the time....but hindsight being what it is). having spent 13 hours one day fixing the engine your car, and a few days later getting plastered and destroying it. I know if I were in your shoes, I would have wished I hadn't gone quite that far.

sometimes working on cars for days on end before the race, getting plastered, and subsequently beating the piss out of those same cars is what its all about!

like joel said, i think this whole thing is getting blown out of proportion. yes i agree whoever threw that bottle rocket was being a little excessive...but if thats the only "major" thing that happened all weekend i call it an amazing success.

    thanks again rich and karen!

oh and disco..it was great getting plastered with you and trying to force down those "good" drinks you were making.

I'm sorry but the car didnt blow up because he was drunk, but thanks for the assumption. and I totally agree with the bottle rocket crap, thats probably the only thing (that and the jackass throwing candy) that pissed me off this weekend.

Thanks you to everyone who came and made this a very successful event. Cant wait until next years when I get the tracks and plow for the Rhino, I should be able to make a much bigger course with that.

I didnt drink as much as last year since I was just getting over being sick, but I will make up for that next time :)

Everyone needs to goto the bathroom grab some toilet paper and wipe the sand out of your cracks. Seriously, the weekend was fun, I got woke up at 2:30 for about 5 min, was not appreciated but did not ruin my day.

Yes bottle rockets in cabins, in post in cabins is not okay by me. Very dangerous.

    Other then that,
Thanks Rich and Karen it was a blast.
Thanks drunks, for giving me something to laugh at.
Thanks to those that got the timed runs setup and run smoothly.

uh huh....maybe you don't remember much from Saturday night....

I don't think the weekend was ruined, but I was extremely pissed at the time, and think it was something that could've easily been avoided. was just hoping that in the future someone could have the thought, "boy, all the lights are off, I bet they're asleep, let's go somewhere else".

up until that word in your posting Chux I thought you were smarter.. ha hah a ha.. expecting drunk biligerant people to think of others before themselves

looks like the party people are saying that if you dont drink dont go and its up to the quiet ones to sit back and suck it up, while they dont have to show some class and respect for those that arent into the antics that others are...

this is another reason as to why this club will begin to alienate different groups at these sorts of events... cause the one group sys hey.. antics is antics but show some respect then the other not so considerate people say DEAL with it, if you dont want to party dont stop us... yada yada...

hmmmm seems like this club has some real good family friendly events huh... starting to know why I used my judgement and never went....

    1. you cant say anything without someone getting pissy
    2. some party and others dont... which should be fine but ends up each year with the same stupid arguments...
    3. more and more people means more and more idiots...

one thing is for sure.. I am really seeing why my enjoyment of being on this forum is slowly losing its enjoyment...

No, once again you dont know exactly what happend, I was there, the worst part is, what made it blow up was done while completely sober, and during daylight, and far, far dumber.

how about if people who want to party get placed in cabins that want to also party. and people that don't get there own and are not invited to share in drunken nonsense. and if they do they get a hand chopped off or something? that way no one will be loured over to the "to bed by 8" cabins. i think having them mixed f's with drunken minds....

the problem is if some people want to goto bed from say cabin 3 but others are still out partying, you can not lock the cabin door, you can only lock the bedroom door if you have one, and well they got picked.
