2009 ice race January 15th-18th

well the course is rough but it driveable. have have been making 3 passes with the groomer everyday and will do so until thursday. Looks like the slush on the main part of the lake is freezing up nice, I will try to do some plowing Tuesday and get another course going. We will use the better of the 2 for the main race and the other to practice.

 

Well, now I might not be able to make it. Good thing I didn't reserve those hotel rooms just yet. Should know for sure within a couple days.

this week is going to drag at work

 

its dragging for me too, 7midnight shifts suck, atleast I get off thursday morning and dont go back until tuesday evening.

I just had an unavoidable funeral scheduled for Saturday, so it looks like I'm out.

 

Does anyone else want to be on the backup list? as of now its empty so you will probably get a spot. Looks like there will be a bed spot open for Saturday night also.

 

if theres any private bedrooms that open, could me and the Mrs. check into that? I dont really care, but I may want to get cozey with her(if ya know what I mean) lol

good thing the k2500 has a block heater so it might start when it's time to go home

 

just throw some burning coals under the engine..... I heard that works well

 

I have a heated garage so if someones car won't start. We could tow it in there. Saturday and Sunday don't look bad.

 

trust me, My Dad and I both have 6.5 diesels, Plug that thing in any time it's supposed to get down below 20ish, It'll save you a lot of headaches.

 

yeah get some anti gel into it too... waiting for Chet to tell us all to stop talking about stuff that isnt ICE RACE related

 

and you can always wrap the engine in a heated blanket.... Max tucks the diesel in at night when it's realy cold.

 

so who's bringing video cameras and will actual post the videos?!?

It needs a new turbo... So unless i find a T25/T28 to bolt in for cheap... No chance.

 

If you can use a Nissan T25/T28, I would try the D-town.us classified forum.

 

I will bring my go pro as well, just picked up two boxes of lithiums. That should last the day.

I think i almost have him convinced to remove the oil feed line and open the waste gate up and run it n/a, its how i ran my crap td04 for a while. its still gonna be plenty torquey
