R&T sucks. All comparisons are in California. For those of you who get real weather, you'll have to do your own tests.

Haha, but of course. But I think they were basing the review on the track performance of each car. We all know our subies will walk all over Colbalts in our weather..

I test drove the one they got in 5 days ago at St Cloud Subaru.... Wowzers...

4 People inn the car and the body roll was bearly sensible. For a stock car, this thing is top notch. I was realy impressed.

Apparently the engine they use in cobalt is a very good global engine. It would be a great car if the built quality was better and it looked more like the pontiac G5 or whatever it is.

Morrie's hooked me up with a Cobalt when my subie was in for accident repair.

To be fair, it wasn't the SS, but I'm guessing that there is little difference between the "plain jane" version I drove and the SS (except, obviously, drivetrain).

It was probably the second worst car I've ever driven. Period. (Worst was the Dodge Nitro :run: I tootled around NV & AZ with a couple weeks ago - CVT FTL)

It was just an awful feeling car in just about every respect.

And of course AWD FTW anywhere there is "weather" or turns. :eek:wned:

0-60. The light weight and torque increase makes it believable.

1/4 mile should be real close with a retune since the wrx gets a turbo that's similar to the sti iirc.

Olds, Pontiac and Chevy are all GM products. For the most part they are all the same. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to rip on one and not the other. Most car problems are caused by poor maintenance no matter what the brand.

I was under the impression our cars were 100% Japanese

Ford builds vehicles in the US, Mexico, Canada and ... even Australia ;)

I have an Aspen white 09 on order from bloomington subaru. I called inquiring about an 08 they had on the lot, and the sales lady said I would be better off waiting for the 09, because of the higher horsepower and torque, along with the updated suspension and slightly modded interior.

It looks to be that way but for that reason I doubt there will be much haggle room :/

I feel sorry for the people who bought the 08

I love how the Cobalt claims 30mpg and gets 20 on average, where as the AWD WRX got 22MPG on average ??? Furthermore Road and Track sucks ****!!!

It seems funny how so many people get all wrapped up into one single, extremely subjective review of a few cars. (and I'm more talking about the discussion over on that ricer forum than this one).
