2010 Drag race schedule (rock falls, bir, grove creek)

Trust me you don't want to try and drag race on a wet track even if there was only a few drops during the day, the overnight precipitation is enough to make the track wet all day especially when its cold, no wind/sun. On the day prior to that we spent nearly half the day just drying the track to get it going. If there is any damp areas on the prepped track its like ice and is not fun.

Just to let all of you guys know you don't only have to come out on compact days, on the bracket days they do have a compact class to run in. The only events you can't race at are the bikes only days and the muscle car days.

 

I say there should be a Mitsu-Subaru shootout day organized between MNSubaru.com and Mitsustyle.com.

Not sure if they are doing this again this year, but it would be worth looking into

I don't disagree with you, but I think you can understand my frustration. They updated the website during my drive there. Maybe if I had known what time they were going to make that call and update the website this could have been avoided.

also, if I remember correctly, the compact car days are cheaper.

 

If enough people are interested on both sites I could start organizing something. I'm very active on mitsustyle, and I would most likely be racing my Talon.

 

You should go post on other local forums around here, and if it can get poppin', we'll be there for sure

 

Compact days and Fun Race days are essentially run the same. As many time trials as you want up until 1 p.m. The Fun Race days have a lot more people running slicks on their cars, which in turn puts good rubber down on the track. If you're going for 60' times I suggest going on a Fun Race day.

 

I am more than happy to try and get something going on this site as well. We'll just wait until the date gets closer. As well someone said that we don't have to go on a sport compact day. If you look at their website they have a lot of test and tune days. The time I went was on a test and tune day. The good part was that no one was really there, so you can make runs all day long until you run out of gas. They do have 110 there, I am not sure what else they are running. But we can find out as time gets closer.

I am talking with ZERO to make a trip out there. It depends on how long his install takes. I would like to make another Test and Tune day, the last one I went to was cool. Plus there was like no one there... less busy = more runs = FTW.

I will post more when i figure out if we can make the June or July test and tune days.

Sunday Morning July 11 Update – 6:30 a.m. –
We are racing today at Rock Falls Raceway. The track is dry and it looks like the weather that is passing through should stay to the North and South of the track so we should be clear and are going to give it a go. Please spread the word and tell your friends to join us for some drag racing here at Rock Falls Raceway!! Thanks.
